brilliant news about the woofter ss ...i'm sure the parents will understand as well ...maybe a bit shocked but they will understand ...i mean it's not like your telling them your £35,000 in debt or something ...your telling them great news they can have their house back ...jeez my son did that in sep and yet he is here tonight:rolleyes: and it feels like he aint left yet :rotfl:
Well I don't have to tell them for a few months yet!
But I do want to start buying bits and bobs! How sad that I'm getting excited about buying things like tea towels! :rotfl: :doh:0 -
i remember that excitement well ...and son has just got himself a flat so i am getting a round two so to speak....i used to live in a caravan and i can honestly say if i knew then what i know now things would be so different...you are so lucky in that you have that wisdom already .....i know i am probably teaching a granny to suck eggs (what the hell does that mean by the way) but you have joined freecycle? it will be your friend i'm sure lol...
dont forget salt and pepper i forgot that lol ...infact you should start a new thread things ss needs for a new home ...(i'm sure i have forgotten things as well and could do with a reminder)0 -

I think you doing right thing SS and your debt is so much more manageable anyway, what does it matter if it takes another year to pay off?
I went to New York a few weeks ago, I had a bit of a guilt trip as I could have knocked a grand off my debt instead but I had a brilliant time and came back feeling revitalised. It the best thing I have done in years.
New mantra "debt is not a prison" :TSecond and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -

Well my record keeping used to pretty poor and not very accurate. But, including things like Quidco cashback etc I'd say I'm pushing the £10k barrier. This is over about 20 months!0 -
HI SS..for what it's worth I think you have made the right deciscion..you have weighed up the pros and cons and as you know your debt is way under control.
Life is definitely for living and though it may take a little longer to clear the debt you will obviously be happier..take care xx0 -

Good luck with the nesting. If I had my time over again I'd spend a lot of money on a very very comfortable bed.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
Ooooh, can I come to Ikea, can I, can I? :rotfl:
I love it - can easily spend hours in there. Get there early, have breakfast for a quid, then off round the store before getting a hot dog on the way out. Trick is to make a list before you go from the website, then completely ignore the showroom upstairs and trot straight down to the market hall. Everyone else wanders around upstairs for a good hour, so if you go straight down you get a headstart and some lovely peaceful shopping! :j
But seriously - I would go for you - I like it that much!0 -

Thanks Tust.
I'll have to sign up to that!
I agree about the bed. Will probably put a decent whack to that as I love my sleep!:rotfl:
