So sorry to hear about woofer.

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oi, that made me bloody cry! :naughty:

  • SS - we have not spoken for a very long time - something drew me to this thread, I lost my beautiful Spirit 17 yeals young three months ago and even though it was right I miss her so much.

A friend of mine sent me the Rainbow bridge and it made me cry so much but gave me such a wonderful warm feeling.

Take care hun and I wish it was happier times

  • Thanks for your messages everyone. :kisses3:

I've been kept really busy the last few days which has been a great help. But not slept well since last Wednesday but for different reasons the last couple of nights! ;)

So I'm bit all over the place. Happy and sad at the same time. It's all weird.

We are having him cremated and are gonna spread his ashes over his favourite forest that he loved. :A
  • aww good to hear that youre having him cremated ss. Then when you feel low and missng him you can go for a walk and be where he is...Macey cats ashes are still at the bottom of the stairs in a pot as not quite ready to "plant" her yet and quite like to say hello to her as I come in now!! Some of course think thats a bit nuts but who cares - when we love our animals as family its devastating when they die. How are your mum and dad coping? Re happy and sad at same time - happy that hes not in pain but sad that you wont see him again? Hang in there...why not try a bit of comfort cooking as a distraction?!
