Oh and on a debt aside, my loan has cleared so another £371.57 towards freedom.
Am aiming to be debt free by April 2009 now. Again, I'll probably fail, but what the hell! :rotfl:0 -

SS - rental prices are only worth what people are prepared to pay for them. If you like a flat but think it's too much then make them an offer. You've got the added advantage that you can move almost immediately which definitely helps. Landlords are keen to avoid void periods where their property is empty.
We got both our London flats this way. And both times they were one's which had not quite come on the market so we were first into see them. We just spent the day doorstepping all the agents and badgering them into telling us what was coming onto their books. It's the only way to do it if you're looking round here though. Not sure if it's the same where you are?
Now, this debt free malarkey. I'm aiming for March (wedding, moving out of in-laws, redundancy all kind of delayed things for me). So, is the race back on???;)Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

Hey Scousey
Great news about the flat, I hope it all works out for you. I think you will possibly beat me to being debt free anyway, as I have an architect coming on Thursday to measure up the house for an extension.....by the time we have the plans and all the various approvals, we will have spent about £1500, that's before we even start building! No idea yet what the extension will cost but we will be roughly doubling our mortgage so that will definitely slow us down a bit!
Moral of the story is never have sex, as the resulting offspring take up rather a lot of room (and money!). :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
