SS's 2008 Debt Free Diary

I'm still in the black (somehow) and am off out tomorrow again to buy more bits.
Only 5 weeks to go! And only 4 more weekends to sort everything out. Been sifting through some cupboards today. Thrown a bag of crap away and have 3 carriers of stuff to palm off on my brother for his kids!
I don't actually have that many things but I have if that makes sense! :undecided
Anyway, I was gonna put an extra few quid to my loan payment next month to take me sub £8k but I've got to shell out £1,800 on a deposit and months rent upfront so that's scuppered that one! :rotfl:
But the good news is I've got that money still and don't need to buy too much more. I reckon another £500 will get me everything I need including a huge Tesco shop of everything.
So I'm hoping by the time I move in I'll have saved my 'spare' July pay and will only have to wait a few days for Augusts pay. Plus whatever I make from MB'ing. Actually I must have ballsed up somewhere as that means I'll have about £1,200 spare which can't be right! B*gger. Back to the abacus! :rotfl:
Edit: I know what I've done. Not included furniture in that £500!
So add another £1k and I'll have about £200 left. That sounds more right! :rolleyes:0 -

Having £200 left the first month you move into your own place is pretty amazing though. :T"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Plan is to enjoy myself and my new found freedom!
Gonna trset myself a target of paying off double the loan amount and see how that goes. Will mean the loan is paid of by this time next year but obviously I'd like it to be sooner. :think:0 -
Well I've 'nearly' got everything! :undecided
Still need to get;
Sofas
Small table(s)
Light fitting
Bed
Wardrobe
Bedside cabinet
Potato peeler
Garlic press
Coasters
Table mats
Ironing board
Mum is giving me the money for the wardrobe and bedside cabinet so not too much more to buy. Not gonna order any of the bigger stuff until nearer the time. And when I've definately got the flat!
Just got to keep saving now. :doh:0 -
