the lucky thing is that your parents will still live there, so it doesn't matter if you get that all done in advance or not. I still get post at home even though I moved out 6 years ago

you could potentially have the best of both worlds, get your batchelor pad, crash there most nights, but stay at your parents' once in a while to raid the cupboards & get all your washing done

ps - that's what my other brother is doing - he lives practically next door to mum & dad, mum still does all his & his girlfriends washing & ironing cos they have no machine!

Just told my mum I'm moving out! :eek:

She was really cool about it but I still feel really guilty. :undecided

It's just been the four of us (woofer included) since my brother moved out 7 or 8 years ago so it feels harder to do I guess being the youngest and last one to fly the nest! Mum was really alright about it but I know she's sad, guess it goes without saying, but joked how hard I'm gonna find it. :rotfl:

Going slowly. But will pick up now it's in the open!

Got a week off in a couple of weeks so will go look at some then if not before. But it means I can start buying stuff now! Gonna order my TV tomorrow!

Dont forget to give family some ideas if they are likely to buy housewarming gifts or you will end up with 3 toasters like we did!
