    *UPDATE*

After submitting my witness statement, I still haven’t received any response from either the court or DCB.

I contacted the court yesterday via phone, and they confirmed that DCB has not paid their trial fee. The court also advised me to resend my witness statement, this time including an additional court email address and marking it as urgent in the subject line, while still copying in DCB.

I have now forwarded my email to both court addresses and DCB. The court confirmed that both email addresses are correct, so my original submission should be valid. I also received automatic replies on all occasions.

At this stage, I’m unsure what I should be doing. I’m waiting to receive a Notice of Discontinuance (NoD) in the post, but nothing has arrived yet.

Do I need to contact DCB?
Should I still attend court on 9th July?
Or should I continue following up with the court by email?

It’s all a bit confusing at the moment.

Check with the court on Friday or Monday,  unless you receive the N279 discontinuation email from DCB Legal in the meantime.   Check your spam folder as well as your inbox for the N279 document,  because it could be stuck in your spam folder

The court should be able to tell you if the hearing is vacated,  before next Tuesday,  but only they can confirm the details,  not us

Ps, you are not confused,  you are not aware due to being left in limbo,  not your fault,  but DCB Legals fault

    Okay will do.

I have checked my spam folder and have found nothing from them.

I'll give the courts a call on Friday.

    Thanks!

    UPDATE

Apologies for the lack of updates. I’ve been waiting to confirm the current situation, which required several calls/emails to the courts.

Additionally, I was away on holiday.

A few weeks ago, I contacted the courts, and they confirmed the case has been discontinued. They also mentioned that DCBL served the N279 form.

The only concern is that I haven’t received the Notice of Decision (NoD) directly via post or email. I'm not sure if I need it sent to me personally.

So far, I have not received any email communication from the courts or from DCBL. However, the courts have confirmed the notice of discontinuation.

Great news 🥳 I'd email DCB Legal tell them court says your case has been discontinued but DCB Legal have failed to notify you, ask for copy of the N279.
Then post it here for Umkomaas to add you to his thread.
