OK so the strangest thing happened to me today - I went shopping saying to myself I can buy something (a top or similar) up to £25 as I recieved a late Xmas present from an Aunty the other day (as I mentioned before). I pottered around the shops and just didn't see ANYTHING I really thought I wanted.... this is so unusual for me - previously I would have bought 5 or 6 things even if I wasn't 100% sure of them, i think this a new, more aware me!! It's really strange but I like it! I am not going to buy anything going forward unless I'm completely sure about it and know I will really enjoy wearing it - it really was a refreshing moment for me!! :T
Going to hold the cheque though and if I see anything at any point which I really like I will let myself have the money then....this is so strange!

This site does have some strange effects on people lol!
If and when you spend the money you will know that it was thought about and not just a whim like the ones that got us here in the first place.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Hi,
good for you - don't hold onto the cheque for too long without cashing it though as you might forget about it and then it will expire.

Lol.
Don't worry i can't imagine it will be too long before I find something I will want to spend the money on
Had a nice cheap day today - £0.90 all day and that was for parking when i had the unsuccessful shopping trip!
Went to the parents for dinner which means I will hopefully be able to have my pasta bake tomorrow and Wednesday (have a friend coming around tomorrow so we'll be having some pizza (from Tesco not take out) or something like thats.
Aiming for a NSD tomorrow, got some bits in for lunch, going to make my sandwich in a minute.
Got a few bits to list on Ebay later, need to get some more on there because the money has stopped coming in from the other bits now!! I think, after postrage I will have made £120 which is quite good, I will add it to my Olympic challenge when the cash is actually in my bank account.
Did my clicks earlier and will do them again after my run tomorrow morning.
To do list tonight:- Make lunch for tomorrow DONE
- Dye hair DONE
- List 4 ebay items DONE (not sure they're going to make much though!!)
- Pack stuff for Brownies on Tuesday DONE
- Get things ready for run tomorrow DONE
- Unload washing machine DONE

Was hoping for a NSD today but then realised I needed some more toothpaste and some Flora - also bought some half price grapes so ended up spending £2.47 grrr!! Never mind, they are staples

Completed my clicks this morning, will do some more tomorrow morning as my friend and I are running early again tomorrow so I normally do them after that.
I have had a bit of interest to some shoes I put on ebay - hopefully I'll get a bid! Going to put some more bits on on Wednesday, can't tomorrow as I have a Brownie meeting and then a lady coming around to talk about taking the girls away for the night (amazing how much organisation goes into taking Brownies away!).
I hope everyone else has had a good day xx:wave:

Hi i'm back after my weekend in london. Was a lovely weekend but it cost me more than £2 lol but we did get some stuff towards the wedding.
Well done on getting the job, it's funny i negotiated my salary when i joined, and it wasn't my manager who got annoyed but someone in my office who used to check the salaries before i took over. Guess they thought i was a money grabbing thing because i refused to take a pay cut. Duh no brainer if you ask me!
About the financial course, i've thought about what i'd need to do to become a financial adviser etc, just a second job if you know what i mean. Guess all those accountancy courses didn't put me off studying for very long though i did say i would never open an evil red text book again!0 -
Hey all,
Not updated for a while as I've been super busy at work, just taking a bit of time for lunch now so thought I'd do an update!
Unfortunately had a pretty expensive weekend, saw a friend on Friday night (we catch up every few months) so had some dinner with her and then was in London on Saturday day for my friends engagement dinner and drinks so wasn't the cheapest! Been good this week though, bought lots of salad bits to bring in for lunches and some 2 for £1 stir fly bits in Tesco which will do me for 4 meals in the evenings this week - that is cheap eating!
Other than that I recieved confimation that my card has moved over to Barclaycard so will be paying less interest on that going forward and i managed to sell two more books on Amazon, bring in £27 to go towards my NW1 O/D - beginning to see the results of the sales now and will update my Olympic Challenge each time I get the cash into my account.
Paid on Friday, - thank god - January has been a VERY long month what with being paid on 15th December and Xmas etc!!
How's everyone else going xx:wave:
