Ate at Thai Silk in the end - a bit naughtier but £13 all in and it was lovely - mixed starter, main course (with rice) and a sorbet - it was a pre-show deal.
It's great at the O2 isn't it??

Despite being tempted to go to the buffet car on the train on the way back from London to buy some chocolate, but I resisted the temptation and just made myself some lunch from the store cupboard when I got home.
So far today:- The water company rang this morning to arrange for someone to come around to my property and check the water meter is ok in order for me to change over to metered billing rather than a set price monthly (currently paying £25 a month for a one bed house with just me in it - hoping to get that down!).
- I have joined the lunch challenge so will be looking to save money by not spending on lunch each day when I am back at work.
- I recieved a very small amount of interest on one of my bank accounts (I didn't realise they actually gave interest, I thought they only took it off :rotfl: ) so I have taken that unexpected £1.80 (I told you it was small!) and put it against my credit card - every little helps...
- Still onl one of my ebay items has a bid on it, however one of the others now has 6 watchers and another with 3 watchers so hopefully something will come of those.
- I have found a few more bits to list on ebay today so will be doing that this evening.
On a less positive note, my NW3 account is unfortunately going to go overdrawn this month due to getting paid extremely early in December (14th instead of 25th) so I will be accumulating some additional debt there this month which is why I have to keep things down to an absolute minimum for the rest of the month.
How fantastic!! You seem very motivated, im sure this diary and all the good people here on dear Martins site will help you along the way x

Oooh, that sounds nice and a good price as well.
Yes, I was surprised how much was actually there. We went to the Tatankhamun Exhibition a few weeks back. Did you see the ice rink there?
Good luck with the diary!!0 -
Not having a good morning so far today - just got up and checked my bank (as I'm trying to do daily to ensure I have a reality check) and have been charged over £10 interest on one of my accounts, I've never had that muchon that account before (and it's not the account I have to pay off as a priority so it will keep happening  ).
Feeling pretty low again which isn't good as I'd had a good few days listing items on ebay / amazon, entering challenges and keeping a money diary but it feels like all these things will only touch the interest on my accounts and not actually pay any of the capital - how can I raise some more money to actually make a dent in the debt everyone, I don't know what to do...

Hi,
don't get disheartened.
First, check with the bank that it isn't a mistake and check out the situation so you know what to expect for the future.
Second, we all have setbacks. Try to accept that they will happen and plough on regardless.
Third, you are doing brilliantly. Think how far you have changed your mindset re: money so far. That will serve you in the long term
Chin up.

I am always amazed when the miniscule bit of interest hits our joint account (it has no overdraft, unlike my main one!):rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

oh dear, we all have bad days, don't let it get you down.
Are you sure you have listed the interet rates on your acccounts correctly? If so then you are doing the right thing by paying off the highest one first. Unfortunatly interest on the rest is unavoidable - althought can you switch to a lower rate card?0
