Hey Becky, good luck for your aims in 2008! You sound v. focused so I am sure you will get there! Just a quick question ... what's this cashback / clicks email? If it's daily clicks I would like to get more into it but don't know where to start! Happy New Year by the way xx
Hi Jenna -
Thanks - I'm feeling very motivated at the moment, new year etc - let's hope it lasts!!
If you go to this thread:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=609037
They talk about the cashback / click sites - also, PM EagerLearner with you email address and they will send you a whole email and attachment with step by step instructions about how to make the most of the cash back sites - it looks really handy!
Good luck!
Becky:wave:

Thanks MoneyGypsy - It really was a shock to the system the other day when I sat down and worked out exactly what state I have got myself into.
Feeling more positive now and everyone on this site is just so motivating.
I know it is a long road ahead but it's one I need to embark on now and I couldn't be in any bettern company to do so.
Hope you have a great 2008.

Are you seeing the Spice Girls at the O2? If so, there's a Nandos there. I normally spend about £7.50 which gives me a meal (quarter chicken, spicy rice and chips - yum yum) and bottomless drink. There is also a Slug & Lettuce and you could have wedges or chips for about £4.
Enjoy the Spice Girls!0 -

Yep, off to the O2, something like a Nando's sounds good to me, I'll suggest that to my sister!
Thanks Frugal!

Hi everyone,
Well, I've just got back to my friends flat having seen the Spice Girls at the O2 and they were AMAZING!! A fantastic day out with my sister.
Down to the important stuff - Unfortunately no-where near a NSD for me today, I managed to spend £27.46 which isn't great. Out of this I managed:- Posting a Amazon sale
- Posting a personal item
- Coffee with my two sisters in London
- Insoles for a pair of shoes that have stetched (rather than buying a new pair)
- Dinner with my sister (no alcohol)
- A drink for the show (I had my water bottle but they wouldn't let us take them in - grrr!).
Current position on the 6 items currently listed on ebay:- One has a bid on it
- One has 2 people watching (MissEyre - that's the VHS so hopefully you're right, people do still buy them!)
- One has 5 people watching it!!
This Spice Girls concert is the main expense I have in January so the remainder should be quite cheap - I am making a new years resolution to have people around for dinner more often rather than going out (something that I have realised has been part of my downfall) and if I ever do out for dinner to drink either soft drinks or order a glass of wine (not share a bottle!).
A new year, a new start xxx:wave:

Well, it's about 4.30pm and so dar today I have manageda no spend day!! Despite being tempted to go to the buffet car on the train on the way back from London to buy some chocolate, but I resisted the temptation and just made myself some lunch from the store cupboard when I got home.
So far today:- The water company rang this morning to arrange for someone to come around to my property and check the water meter is ok in order for me to change over to metered billing rather than a set price monthly (currently paying £25 a month for a one bed house with just me in it - hoping to get that down!).
- I have joined the lunch challenge so will be looking to save money by not spending on lunch each day when I am back at work.
- I recieved a very small amount of interest on one of my bank accounts (I didn't realise they actually gave interest, I thought they only took it off :rotfl: ) so I have taken that unexpected £1.80 (I told you it was small!) and put it against my credit card - every little helps...
- Still onl one of my ebay items has a bid on it, however one of the others now has 6 watchers and another with 3 watchers so hopefully something will come of those.
- I have found a few more bits to list on ebay today so will be doing that this evening.
On a less positive note, my NW3 account is unfortunately going to go overdrawn this month due to getting paid extremely early in December (14th instead of 25th) so I will be accumulating some additional debt there this month which is why I have to keep things down to an absolute minimum for the rest of the month.
