I bought a Donna Hay cake stand on Christmas Eve for £10.00 - half price. I also bought the glass teapot and tea in box which was reduced to £6.00.
Today I bought 2 X 2.5 kg gammon joints for £3.50 [one is cooking in my slow cooker at the moment. ] I also got smoked salmon reduced to £1.99 [which was the £9.99 reduced to £4.99]
Not a bad haul thank you OP.

Oh gawd, just spent 30 quid on chocolate biscuits, nobbies nuts and a couple of 'hazel' hampers (£6ish, down from £25, with wine, biscuits, chocs, jam, xmas cake etc). The exp. on the box was Jan but the contents exp from Feb to August, or indefinately. I don't believe expiry dates anyway, I ate a 1 year old choclate xmas bunny last week and it tasted great...
Really need to hunt around, xmas stuff all over the shop.
trouble is my shed now looks like I'm preparing to bunker down for a nuclear war (towers of pre-xmas bargain beer slabs, boxes of tesco 25 per cent off plus points wine, and now this lot)... shmbo rolled her eyes and pointed out out that 5kg of chocolate biscuits won't help our resolution to lose weight. Any tips for rationing hoards like this?

Do you have a pic of the cake stand. I am so deadly curious as to what I missed. Love the packaging on her other items so I know it's gonna be gorgeous.0 -
Popped into my local Sainsburys in Stoke Gifford Bristol, they had iSound Nano and Video leather cases for sale at excellent prices:
Nano Black £1.37 (or pennies close to this)

Looked really good quality... shame I am on a very strict budget!0 -

Kiln Lane, Epsom Surrey branch still has quite a bit.
Loads of selection boxes, large ones 57p
Foxes creations large tins of biscuits £2.24
Lots of tubes of sweets 34p
set of whiskeys of the world £2.50...can't recall start price.
Jack daniels minature in a tin £1.00
Jack daniels chocolates 49p
other liquer chocs 57p
donny hay choc cook book £2.50 should have been £10 the xmas one was the same price
donny hay cookie set with the xmas book £3.75
but they had heaps of stuff, lots of cards and bratz gold hangbags from £3.99 to 99p with marshmellows and jellies in etc, they had the toffee quality street tins, loads of biscuit tins and boxes and it was all over the store not just in one aisle, lots of it on various end aisles.0 -

Sent hubby to Sainsbury's Castle Vale this morning - he said they had nothing!
Went straight after work as he wouldnt know a bargain if it hit him in the face.
Bought the following:
Mini malt whiskies in box with hip flask £3.75 (bought two sets but couldnt think of anyone to give the third box to so persuaded a total stranger to buy it as it was such a bargain :rotfl: ).
Donna Hale Chocolate recipe book set £3.75
Smarties tree decorations 49p (8 in each box - now destined as party bag fillers minus the tree hanger bit)
Cadbury's tree decorations 37p (I think there was 15 in each packet)
Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisps 74p (I think)
Elizabeth Shaw Truffles 79p (I think)
Small snowman Xmas cake 87p
They had lots of different Xmas cakes all by the bakery on the end of an aisle. There were dark Toblerones by the sweets with no price on but I assume they would have the 75% off. Next to them were the Quality Street Toffee and Fudge Tins at £1.99. They had tubes of cheddars, cheddar balls and twiglets all with 75% off and lots of assorted tins, packets and boxes of nuts including Nobbies. There was a lot of Bassetts Allsorts abandoned at the end of one aisle. Some tableware - plates 15p etc. I couldnt find any toiletry sets anywhere. Wrapping paper was by the tills and didnt seem to be attracting any interest at all.
May have to force myself to get up early tomorrow morning to pop in before work just to see if they have added anything more or at least tidied up!0 -
