Snug Octopus (Economy 7) Problems

Thanks Scot! 👍I mentioned being stuck in E7 timings in my original email, so I imagine that's why they mentioned E7 in that email. You would think if you had E10 timings and you could switch to snug, then if your meter started to not respond then you would go back to your E10 times. Though what do I know, when I think I've worked snug out, then something confuses me, like my cheap afternoon hour returning. 😄You've been on this forum for a while. Have you ever seen someone with an E10 meter switch to Octopus Agile? I ask because those on E10 timings could take better advantage of cheaper afternoon hours than those with E7 timings. But then again I've been on agile in the past and I decided it's probably not wise to be on agile when your mainly on it for heating and storage heaters because some days the price may be too high and then you decide not to heat your home.0

No. Just know that you can have e10 configured smets2 meters.
Octopus are new enough not to probably ever formally have supplied e10 would be my guess - but do seem to have a lot of rts - in top 3 of Elexons breakdown by suppliers.
But there was a couple of reports years ago now they had taken on some on e10 / legacy deals and charged e7 rates pre smart metering.
E10 numbers were tiny fraction of non RTS multirate - pooled with others maybe sub 100,000 - cannot find from quick google - RMI in Ofgem speak - stats - e7 dominating with well over 2 million. Rts at time over 1 million.
But others are now having rts replaced by e10 metering from posts on Ovo forum - both rts e10 and thtc - so who knows.
I suspect they might be set to e7 then switched dynamically when possible like your scenario.1
