    Hello!

#26 reporting in with a final overpayment for June of £48,441.66 bringing me to my target of £55,450.

That's the mortgage paid off, then!

Thanks for running this @julicorn! Maybe I'll be back for a third time if I get another mortgage.
Wow, congratulations @shALLax 🎊  How do you feel?

It hasn’t really properly sunk in yet. Work has been absolutely manic, so I’ve not been able to think about it.

Maybe once my lender sends me the paperwork indicating it’s settled it’ll feel a bit more real (and maybe when the next pay day comes around and I don’t see so much of it vaporise into the mortgage payment anymore…)

It’s going to be nice being able to buy nice things that are wants rather than needs without constantly thinking that I should instead be putting it towards the mortgage.

Well done and massive congratulations! <3

(you also answered my 'when are we going to hit £400k' question :D )
I was biting my tongue very hard about this when I saw it. I wanted to say “tomorrow”, but I didn’t want to jinx the payment going through!

I actually set myself an alarm for 1am, which is about when my pay arrives in my account and would leave as much of the day available as possible for my lender to process the payment.

As luck would have it, the payment failed a couple of times due to my lender’s online banking system having some hiccups. Got there in the end, though!
