Starting the year slowly so my only overpayment for January will be my standard £83.22 overpaid as part of my monthly direct debit.
February will likely be a tiny one but then I am hoping to get everything boosted up for the rest of the year!

Total Debt May 21 £20,490.44  DEBT FREE DATE 29/7/22

    Mortgage balance May 21 £177,096.19. Now £143,070.41
Mortgage free date. At start of sole mortgage = July 2042

2024 SAVINGS FOCUS - get rid of the car finance. £12,706.25  PAID OFF
2025 Savings Focus - 33.3/33.3/33.3 split; savings for house renovations (bathrooms/garden/kitchen; whichever collapses first), save for a family holiday (probably our last one!) and paydown/offset the mortgage. Total pot = £4238.56
  • Initially overpay by maximum allowed, being 10%, but I'm actually targeting paying in full when my fix ends in October.

I've worked hard to overpay most years with FIRE in my eyes :)

Ok, I get what you're saying but it doesn't technically give me your overpayment target because I don't know how much your regular payments, interest and so on are, if you see what I mean?
I've put down £9,650 for now as the 10% placeholder, but let me know what figure you want me to put down for the whole year when you get a chance. You've got #47.

I'd love to join again - I was number 56 last year.  I will set a target of £4k.  I have re-balanced slightly and intend to add more to savings instead, but still want to pay-down the mortgage a bit.  So far I have £339 OP to add to January.  Sx
