Hello, number 105 here with my first OP of 2025, please can you put me down for £500 please for January.
thanks again for running the challenge again this year Julicorn, much appreciated.
This year will be taking me closer to actual Mortgage Freedom, as all being well, I am aiming to have the mortgage cleared by the end of 2026 fingers crossed. This years OP's will be stuck to the 10% allowance so is why lower again, but will then be ensuring any extra is put in a pot for a lump sum payment next year once my current fix ends.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..3 -

Welcome back, I've given you #37 for this year. 1 -
Hi can I join in please?I’m putting money into savings rather than actually overpaying at the moment because the calculator said I’d be better off doing that at least until my fixed rate ISA finishes in September. I’m aiming to save £5000 a year for the next 5 years, which added to the savings I already have should give me enough to pay off the mortgage 7 years early 😀.
Deposit of £400 already made on 2nd January.1 -
Thank you Julicorn. Straight off the bat with £519.72 for Jan.
