We agree.AJPIARA said:Instead of starting a new thread, I'm just want to ask - how do I stop the debt collection letters?
As predicted, I have received 2 letters from UCS debt collectors, 1 from CSB Solictors and 2 further debt collection letters from DCBL and I feel this is just going to keep going on and on with no court date. I don't mind if it does goes to court, but I could do without the multiple idle threats.
You can't stop it, however you can change the bigger picture! Tell the Government how pointless this extortion stage is because it provides no service of any value to motorists who have a disputed PCN.
It's cheaper and far better to defend a court claim and third parties adding any extra money is one of the major two factors that stop people engaging at pre-action stage (the other factor is using old addresses and refusing to reissue PCNs or hear disputes).
THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED.
DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND ENGINEERING A 'PAYMENT PLAN'.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
