Just checking I’m still ok to ignore - despite the wording of the last paragraph?.It’s not a retail park it was a car park at the back of a soft play for children0 -

Hi all i hope you have been keeping well. I have today received a letter today dated 22nd aug from Gladstone solicitors for parking with insufficient funds in Nov 2024 requesting a payment of £170.
This is a Letter Before Claim - they have issued me 30 days to either pay the debt or dispute it.
After revisiting the newbie thread i understand that i must respond to this letter - is this correct?
I cannot / should not ignore this as an LBC is likely to lead to a claim?
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you .0 -
No legal obligation to respond, only to appear cooperative if necessary.
The odds of getting a claim are the same either way.Probably best to just use template for ease.3 -

Thank you .Yes reply but you can just use the shorter one given in the official MSE Guide. It's not as if you'll get any sense out of Gladstones.
But no rush: FIRST please do the government's Public Consultation this week before Friday night. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance on that thread. I have covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY. Just days to go.

Yes if true but you have ages to email it and it won't affect the case. Gladstones are either instructed to litigate or they're not. Impossible to tell until a claim arrives.sai1601 said:should i mention that i was not the driver at the time?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
