Well been into my bank today and they gave me a number to call over squashing my charges caused by Littlewoods. Called it and it was for savings:mad: Anyhow found the correct number myself and called them. The man on the phone informed me I had incurred two charges for this mess up as it covered 31st Dec and 1st Jan. Anyhow the man has reversed the charges for me after I explained what had happened.:T

Now I just need to wait for Littlewoods to return my money to me, as till then I am totally broke and starting to run low on food. Defiantly going to be some interesting meals done.

Well just spent 30p on some dumpling mix, then was bad and used my card to get a skirt that was half price at £8, least this one isn't dry clean only so can be worn on a more regular basis.

Did another variant of the bean and stew meal today, feed myself and youngest child, plus have two portions of stew to see me through week and turned a portion and half into 3 portions of veg soup by adding more stock and leaving to simmer for another half hour. Not bad for about £1.50max, in total (needed to pay extra for the dumplings)

I am gutted, the skirt I bought in the sale for £8 yesterday, has now been reduced to £4. Cant take it back and get a refund as I am WEARING it:(.
On the good side of things, I blended one of my 'soup portions' and it made a pretty thick broth which actually serves two a decent amount. Well the containers I used are same size as a regular tin that soup comes in, I just counted each container as one portion, so infact I got 6 portions of soup out of the one and I half portions of stew I kept aside and turned into soup.
So I dont forget what went into this variation, going to write it down.

Veg Stew & Dumplings
1 onion £0.20
2 HUGE carrots (4-5 avg) (diced) £0.15
1/2 large tin sweetcorn (1 small tin) £0.08
100g pearl Barley £0.08
400g tin chopped tomatoes £0.21
100g Petit pois £0.25
4 avg sized potatoes (1cm cubed) £0.30
2pts veg stock (add more water if required due to pearl barely)
1 tsp mixed herbs
ground black pepper
Dumpling mix £0.30
Total = £1.57

Veg broth
1 1/2 portions of the stew minus the dumpling,
1 1/2 pints of veg stock.
Blend all together for a broth or just stir together for a chunky soup.

Just tried to apply for an EGG card, but got turned down. only wanted it for the 0% as I have a very high apr on mine. Oh my n is playig up o keyboard too. Have to keep it pressed down ages for it to register. So looks like a New key board required.

Paid min paymet £5 on LaRedoute earlier. I actually planned on paying it off this week, but after littlewoods fiasco, that hasn't been possible, so wanted to make sure the min payment was done on time at least. Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong and I can pay the other £66.40 next week once Littlewoods has returned my money. 24-48 hours they said, I am not including weekend into that time line, so hopefully by Tuesday morning, it will be returned. Will also be able to pay my CC payment when they return the cash.

Made myself some home-made bread buns earlier, mixed in some mixed dried herbs with them and sat eating one now, I think they are rather tasty, though kids will probably complain over the herbs. Ah well they are not home till tomorrow anyhow, and I will more than likely have had them all by then. Have to admit they are large and therefore fillings. Ah well back to hanging paper:o
