NSD#5
I've had a lovely day. A slightly longer lie in, followed by a walk after breakfast (heavy rain just as we were nearly home, so good timing!). Polished my boots, put my Christmas bedding on (bought last year from a CS), put the TV on to clear programmes off the box & did 2 sewing jobs. After tea, did the ironing, then had a long bath & pampered. For the first time this year, I've had a go at painting my nails. I can't really see to do them, but I'll wake up on my birthday feeling a bit beautiful 😀
Grateful for my DH & all that be does for us, going for a walk, using up a pot of body butter & my new cherry red nails!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Put a few things out on the concrete block by the car park. Two bin bags out to the bins (one from their room) and 2 cardboard boxes. The things in the WM went out on the line and some bits came in to make room. This afternoon I've collected various lengths of metal (mostly parts of two polytunnels) in a bucket outside the back gate. It was very cold (I used a rubble sack to hold the bars). I could only do 3 trips with a maximum of 4 bars before needing to come back inside and rest. But it's another bit done and more space in the yard.
DS2 has called and taken my foo order for Saturday so I made him take his and his gf's presents and their card back with him. I asked if he drank coke so he's also taken 2 cans that have been hanging around. Ds1 and darling d-i-l are coming along next Saturday so will bag up their presents as they are ready to go (might be cheeky and see if one or other of them can bring my 4 garden chairs back from grandma's house.
A day of grazing on bits - I think I'm iron deficient but can't take a supplement because it disagrees with some of my meds. Ate my way through a bag of tenderstem broccoli and when I checked the list, blueberries were on there so I've had a pack of those as well. Ate some rather tame tortilla chips to eat my crab pate.
Grateful for more things out of the house, a long shower with lots of neck and shoulder massage, eating things that are good for me.10 -

Hi Everyone!!!
Happy December ⛄
I thought I would pop in to say hi 👋🏻 and cheer you on!!!
I got home last month after a few surgery complications and an extended stay in hospital. The nurse visits have tapered off and I'm making a slow but steady recovery! I get very tired but everything healing ok and appetite improving, and able to get out and about now and back driving. I am so grateful to all the amazing hospital staff, and for my recovery and returning good health 🙏🏻
I hope everyone is well - I have missed you all - but I'll be back in January for a fresh year and new resolutions!!!
Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas 🎄 🎅🏻 and I'll catch you in January's post before the New Year ⭐
Lots of love, Abundant xxx⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Wishing you a swift recovery @abundant1972Happy birthday @Thrifty_TaylorSpend day today, so still NSD #6. I needed birthday cards, including one for 7 y o GS
Also bird seed and a few other bits. Got a few bits off my list anyway. Failed to buy a Christmas tree, as intended, as smaller ones seem to have sold out. DD then offered to lend me one of her potted ones. No cost to me, and it can go back in her garden afterwards. I'm not sure why she has several potted Christmas trees, but it is what it is
Did 2 loads of washing, one of which mostly dried on the line. Now on the airer inside. The rest is still out as it is dry and breezy. I must remember to get it in before I go to bed though.Finished writing the Christmas cards, so I must get them posted tomorrow.Meal plan for the coming week and the list for 'proper' grocery shopping day tomorrow still to do.8 -

Did volunteering twice.A lot of my time is currently spent trying to keep DH sane - his teaching allocation will nearly double because people have left and there is a hiring freeze. He is seriously job hunting abroad now. He is very stressed, but teaching term ends this week. I need to fix the house in case he actually gets one of these jobs.Did a small shop - fridge is now full of cauliflowers and broccolis, there is enough ingredients in this house to feed us for a week, as long as we plan ahead.I think I just found my motivation.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
