NSD #9 today.
Thanks for the lovely comments about our new kitten @DawnW and @beanielou. After a rough couple of months she is bringing us lots of joy (and being very cheeky!).
Today I had to take the kitten for her 2nd vaccination, she was very good and has been very sleepy this afternoon; I had a telephone hospital appointment which I was glad to get out of the way; dinner made using leftover curry that DB1 made from last night; Xmas card and present delivered to my neighbour; and a productive day at work. Still to do is sorting out rubbish, recycling and food waste to go out for collection; and doing some tidying up in the living room so we can allow the kitten to roam the whole house in the next day or two.
Today I’m thankful that the kitten was ok with the car journey to go for her vaccination, for sleepy snuggles with the kitten and for a relatively stress free hospital appointment.8 -
Happy new kitten @Betharooni. Glad your appointment went ok & the kitten helped you relax.

Double figures - yippee! Didn't do yoga today, as DH had left tins of paint in the small space on the floor. I'm not complaining though, as he's finally done 2 coats of paint on our third new internal door 🎉 it's only been hanging in the porch, ready, since May... One more left to do afterwards.
Another day at work, thankfully any crisis was handled by someone else for a change 😀 had a card with a nice message inside from the head teacher, & a P7 pupil came to find me especially this afternoon to give me a card she'd made me 😍
Wrapped a few things for colleagues after work. Recycled present bags received last year. Are lots of chocolate too, as it was left over from going inside mugs 😂
Shortened 2 pairs of jeans after tea. I can nearly see the bottom of the sewing jobs pile now 🎉
Grateful for lovely cards, an easier day, DS1 sending a video of him & my mum having a picnic at her favourite place, a hug from DS3Use it up, wear it out

Evening allFailed again on the NSD front, as I ordered a present for OH. So still on NSD #7.Went for a walk first thing, as it was pleasant outside. Then washed my hair and cleaned the main bathroom. Cleaned and washed the hall and kitchen tiles while I had a bucket of hot soapy water. Then hoovered the lounge and dining room.Unfortunately forgot amongst all this industry to remind OH about his hearing test appointment
They were ok about it but he now needs to wait till after Christmas for another appointment. Of course he should have remembered it himself but it is what it is.
Did the ironing (not my favourite) then made a pie for dinner using filling from the freezer and bought puff pastry. A bit of a cheat really, but it was tasty enough.Quite pleased at what I got done, but annoyed about OH's missing his appointment.5 -
Yesterday was nsd#8 and today is nsd#9. Thank goodness for loyalty points and ‘cash pots’ saved through the year as that has allowed me to get by this month. Looking forward to finishing work Friday for the Christmas break. Also looking forward to not feeling the need to spend money.I read everyone’s work from home stories with such jealousy. I would love to work from home but not an option in my job.Sorry your car failed it’s MOT @f0xh0les. £600 at this time of year- ouch! That’s the last thing you need.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826

Today I am grateful for getting to the gym, for a liddle f+v box, for dh sorting out the postage to send a box of things to big sis, for Pip and I successfully making clothes for a Sylvanian hedgehog, for realising just how much fabric I already possess!

@beanielou, how about post it notes, high lighter pens, lunch bag, or pads to put in a lunch bag to keep food cold, toastie bags, a soup mug with lid for the microwave, gloves, a pencil case with a sharpener & rubber & selection of pens
Was trying to be a bit more organised this morning, didn't do yoga again - lack of space, but did do some sit ups. Wrote a few cards to put in the post.
The morning at work went well, but the afternoon was the worst ever! Was glad to get home.
To de-stress I finished knitting a large gonk for my work bestie, then wrapped all her & other work besties presents & wrote a few more cards for work.
Really hoping for a better day tomorrow...
Grateful for chocolate in the staff room, the bell at 3.30, pleased with how work besties presents have turned outUse it up, wear it out

Thanks @Thrifty_Taylor for your lovely comment.
Today was quiet and pretty boring, mainly work and cat snuggles. Tomorrow needs to be more productive, need to clear the living room so we can start letting the kitten roam the house. I could also do with making a couple of phone calls at some point in the next couple of days and I also need to do some financial admin. Tidying is the big priority though.
I’m grateful for more kitten snuggles, a reasonable day at work and a quiet more chilled day.6
