RBS Black Credit Card and Costco

Does anyone know if RBS Black credit card counts Costco as a supermarket and hence 1% cashback (versus 0.5%)? I have a large-ish one-off purchase coming up and need to decide on which card to use.

It's really hard to find this out - I tried a couple of years ago when spending north of £1500 on a thing at Costco.
First you need the Merchant Category Code, Costco will have a main one (probably 'Wholesale Club') and others for eg Fuel, Travel Services etc.
Then you need to find out if your card co count this as supermarket spend or not.
No-one I contacted at Costco could help, ditto card. I gave up, wasn't worth my time chasing £15 any harder.
Now I'd put the spend on a Chase debit card, pretty sure it would pay out, albeit the monthly limit would be blown over £1500, or use an Amex Nectar CC.

Costco did not count as supermarket spend on the Reward Credit Card last time I tried. It was a while ago tho.1
