Just take it one step at a time. When I feel overwhelmed by everything I think what causes me the most problems and just focus on that one area until it’s either completed or at a level I can leave and go back to.Wedding sounds like it should be fun!

You are sounding good and I'm glad you were 'recognised' at work.
The wedding is a nice new thing to focus on and it is great you have different outfit options (that is always the thing I stress about most)
I'm glad for you that the funeral is behind you and you have had a holiday. Welcome back.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks Humdinger - must have cross posted.
I think breaking things down into mini tasks is definitely the way to go.
In the 'done' column...- Showered.
- Spoke to DS (phone).
- Got the washing dry. Used water from container underneath on a raised bed.
- Initiated the vet insurance claim.
- Did the cat's overdue vaccination. Because it was overdue he'll need a top up in 3 weeks' time (and it will cost more).
I don't know what my actual wedding / trip costs are likely to be though. Someone suggested £500 flights, and £60-90 a day for hotels. Beyond that I've no idea as one of the wedding party has family where we are going and I don't know what scope there will be to eat with them for free versus eating out. They and their family are also in a totally different income bracket to me which could be good or bad. Trying to focus on just what I can control...
Next to do list items:- Clean teeth.
- I had an allergic reaction to something overnight - so need to strip my bed and wash the sheets.
- Nip by the surgery and pick up my sicknote and then photograph and email it to work.
- Check when my next HRT prescription is due. I only seem to have about a week's worth.
- May go to an outlet village - didn't make it yesterday.
- May go to the drawing group tlet village.
- I finally have my pet chip ID number and they are going to find out and email me who it's registered with so I can update my details.
- I should find out later today whether all parties can get the time off for the desired wedding date. If yes - I need to get a visa, and link with other family to resolve flights, hotels, possible hire car etc. It all sounds expensive and overwhelming but I wouldn't miss the opportunity for the world. It is so far outside my comfort zone though...

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks Lucielle, DIA and LWAP
To do list progress - picked up sicknote. Went to outlet mall. Went to drawing group.
Had a lovely carvery.
LWAP - the wedding trip has already been extended from 4 days to 7/8. One of the parties has confirmed they can have the time off, the other hasn't yet - so may be in limbo for another week yet.
I got myself some sparkly sandals today, a red jumpsuit and a blue lightweight dress and a silky sundress. I liked the latter but my sis didn't which has rocked my confidence in that option... She gave the thumbs up to the jumpsuit as a possible wedding option. She thinks it is more flattering than the dress I bought the other day. I was so hot - I swapped what I had been wearing for the blue dress as it was much cooler.
The drawing group boosted my confidence. I stayed on for drink and a chat with someone afterwards. I've known her as part of the group for a while as she's a regular but it is nice that it is progressing towards friendship. They all welcomed me back which was lovely.
I'm going to see if I can get a slot back at the life drawing group.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Jwil and Lucielle.
I only got up a midday today. Must still be very tired. My alarm went off by accident at 8.35 but I rolled over and went back to sleep.
I've unpacked and packed the dishwasher. I want to make myself go out somewhere this afternoon (still not dressed) and then hopefully do some tidying afterwards.
I also need to update my £ after yesterday's spends. I think it was £162 overall for the clothes and sandals. I returned 3 things I'd just bought while I was still there - as I was able to try them on in a different shop. £125 off what the price should have been.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
