Bike has just arrived. In reasonable condition, definitely been used. Its a Sabre with full suspension. One problem - the back wheel doesn't turn when you turn the crank. I have checked the chain and it looks ok. I wonder of maybe the bearings have gone. Anyone have any ideas?

looks a real Bargain then

My bike arrived today- the neighbour will be getting a new bike in his skip tonight (joke). Total rubbish needs new brakes- cables so old they don't work, new gear mechanism as it is bent at right angles, no pedals, punctured bald tyres, buckled wheel. Ah well you win some you lose some. The "running bike" bit is misleading cos there is no way that bike is going to move unless it was thrown off the top of a mountain.

Ha ha. I'm tempted to get one. Even the one you got Max I'd be happy with. Give me something to do over the weekend. But only having a studio flat, have no where to put it!

Tell them to take it back then even if you pay 99P for it still has to be of merchantable quality and the 7 days distance selling regs also still applies.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Does that count when on their website it states that they will accept returns (and refund) but return postage is down to the buyer? Presumably the postage is quite a lot on a bike.

Why oh why can't they just be up front and honest and save everyone a load of hassle and grief! I sympathise with you.

I just got this.
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your recent order.
Due to our spectacular 99p bicycle offer we have been absolutely overwhelmed
with response, so much so, that our warehouse packers are having trouble
keeping up !
As a result we are experiencing delays with the processing of orders and
deliveries are taking longer to arrive than the 7 days at first anticipated.
But please don't worry, we have plenty of bicycles and all orders have been
allocated, everyone will receive their bicycle but all outstanding orders
will not be despatched until Monday 14/1/08. Which means if you have not
received your order by the Monday 21st January 2008 - only then please
contact us at sales@unipackuk.com.
