What a bargain for £26... dual suspension and disc brakes all round... it doesn't matter if its a steel frame etc, that is a GREAT deal!!

Knowing my luck i'd order one and it'd come and not be 1/4 as good as that!!!!

  • I'd be very interested to know if anyone else has recieved their bike and if any notification of delivery was recieved. I ordered my bike on new years eve and the money has been taken from the bank but no idea about delivery yet.

I also ordered on new years eve, about 30 mins after this thread started (thanks again op).

There was no notification, so I'm sure that yours will arrive tomorrow. It was also by a private delivery guy (no big post name). I just had to sign a note.

We took the bike out for a good ride today - fantastic! I've scored some big brownie points with this one as my ex is quite overwhelmed by the present (even though its to be kept at my house for when he visits ;)). We've all got our own bikes, so it is just for him.

I haven't told him what it cost though, as methinks me brownie points would then go out the window. I just said 'don't worry about it'.:D

I don't think the bike has ever been used before. The only sign of damage is on one of the stickers, where it has rubbed through to the metal, but this could have happened while it was packed or stored with the other bikes. Also, it was all very clean. I hope all of you who ordered get one as good.

From what I can see from looking at this thread and the thread on HUKD the bikes seem to be made by a company called Universal Cycles

Universal cycles are based in Basildon Essex
    http://www.universalcycles.plc.uk

Unipack UK are based in Laidon Essex

They are litteraly just up the road from each other, 3 miles apart.

Im not saying these are definately all this companys bikes, its just what seems the most likely arrangement.

Well ours turned up this morning. Its a mens Sabre Shox Ignition SS26 mountain bike. We haven't put it together yet but it looks ok. Needs minor attention.
I'd be interested to know how much it normally retails for but have done a search and can't find it (sure it would be more than £26 anyway!!)

Many thanks to the original poster - it's a fantastic bargain!
  • Bike has just arrived. In reasonable condition, definitely been used. Its a Sabre with full suspension. One problem - the back wheel doesn't turn when you turn the crank. I have checked the chain and it looks ok. I wonder of maybe the bearings have gone. Anyone have any ideas?
