I haven't been feeling great the last few days, hopefully it's just hormonal. Hopefully it's also the reason I gained 0.5lb this morning despite being on plan this week, and the other day it was showing a 2lb loss! I'm quite miffed, but hopefully next week. I've had some rage toast and butter this morning

We're off out for a golden wedding celebration today, so that will be nice even if I'd prefer to hide away from the world in reality. That will be my plan for tomorrow instead.
DH has moved a little more from the front room while I was out, so that is good. I'm not sure why he can't just box it up and shift the lot 🤷♀️"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Just booked tickets for me and DH to go to a Christmas concert that little miss is performing at. I wasn't intending on going as it's an hour and a half away in the evening, and I don't like driving at night, particularly when I'm not hugely familiar with the roads. However the school informed us that the children are only getting taken there by coach and we are responsible for getting them back! I'm not very impressed as I would probably not have agreed for her to go if I had known that. However, the timing means that we can probably get there if we leave as soon as DH gets back from work, and he is always comfortable driving. It will be nice to see her perform though, even if we've also had to buy tickets at £16 each!
I haven't been feeling great over the weekend, and the scales are showing a fairly hefty increase which is annoying. Having looked back through my book though, it does seem to be the week of the month where I always have a gain or maintain, so I think it's hormonal. It just seems exaggerated this month! I'm feeling better today so will be back on it tomorrow.
I went into the office today to find nobody there. I was a bit annoyed that I'd wasted a trip, but in reality I had a productive day and the office was lovely and warm so it saved on the heating at home
I eventually got some company at lunchtime. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
That's quite the p-take on behalf of the school!
Weight goes up and down in a day let alone a month, you're doing great. And allow yourself some leeway that it is now the time of year that human bodies go 'lose weight? Are you mad? It is winter. Absolutely not'
Productive cosy day on work's heating definitely a win

That's very poor play by the school. What about parents who can't/wont drive & single parents to name but a few.£16 quid each for each person is steep. Can you help organize something at school to make sure all of the children have a way home. They are lucky. If the school was here, they would have been sued for child endangerment.2

My body is definitely saying that at the moment! It's going up by the day!PennysIntoPounds said:That's quite the p-take on behalf of the school!

It's ridiculous isn't it. We did consider not going to the performance, but if we have to go all that way to pick her up, then we might as well attend! There were cheaper tickets, but restricted view, so we chose to get the better ones.beanielou said:That's very poor play by the school. The school won't abandon the children there, but they expect that if you aren't attending, you'll arrange with another parent to give the child a lift home. I don't know any of the other parents, so wouldn't know who to contact, and don't particularly want her to go home with someone she (and I) are not familiar with.weenancyinAmerica said:Can you help organize something at school to make sure all of the children have a way home.
