    Happy September!

Most of the bills have come out this morning, so I'm always glad to see the back of them.  The funds for the car have landed so I can go ahead with that now which is a relief.  I always have nagging doubts until they actually arrive.  I'll get the insurance sorted now.  DH has spoken to someone about scrapping the car so hopefully that will be gone soon.

I've caught up with surveys this morning, and done a 15 minute walk. I'll do some weights later.

DH sold a few items yesterday so they have been packed and posted.  There's still a couple awaiting payment too.

I've started the month with a decent PAD due to some interest, cashback, and ebay money that I had forgotten to withdraw.  I'm going to carry on with £1 (plus change) to my savings account, as this is what I use for pots, and it's taken a battering with school uniform etc, and then £1 plus any extras to the car each day.

I wanted to go on and submit meter readings this morning, and request a smart meter, but I can't get on to the website so I'll have to try later. I figure I probably need the smart meter before I can switch the tariff, but I'll have a look and see if I can do both at the same time.

Car dealer is supposed to be ringing me today with a price for the charging cable.  I've priced up online, so will see how they compare.
Is there no or a charge cable
    in the car?
You really don’t want a 3 pin plug charger as they take way too long to charge

There's a standard charging cable, but not a 3 pin one.  We're only getting this to last until we can get a proper charger installed at home.  I don't use the car every day, so it's not a problem if it takes longer - plus I'm not likely to be charging from empty.  I don't really want to have to drive somewhere to charge, and I don't really want to spend the extra £1k or so right now, I'd like to get some of the debt down first.

I've finally done the meter readings and am now on a waitlist for a smart meter.

I've done a few more surveys and packed some more parcels for DH.  It's nice to see a little pile of stuff gone.

I went on to my car insurance to see what they would quote for the new car, and it turns out I can change to the new car at no additional cost!  So I've done that.  It means I'll have to reinsure as normal in December, but I can remove my estimated £300 from the car bill, which is a nice reduction.

A small extra pad today due to some more interest being received.  I've caught up with surveys again.

DH has arranged to have my car scrapped, it should be going on Thursday.  If I'm lucky I might get a bit of cash for it, but given that it's being collected, I'll take just not having to fork out a recovery bill.

The kids are in the doghouse for not doing what I've asked, so they've both got a tech free day today.  Little jwil in particular, as when I bought the school uniform I told them to check it all fits, and tell me if there were any issues.  He said it was fine, but then came down yesterday telling me the trousers were too small.  DH and I went on a mad dash around everywhere last night, but none in his size left in stock anywhere, and that includes online!  I finally found a pair on the big river site which should arrive Wednesday and will hopefully fit!  Moral of the story is buy earlier next year and make them try it on in front of me!

New Strike book today so I got it on audiobook for 99p and have started listening.  I was listening while doing my walk this morning, so that will encourage me to get a bit more active over the next few days :D   I can now cancel my membership again before I start getting charged full price, as it was this book I wanted.

The kids have both won on PBs this month but as usual, nothing for me.  We won't know about DH until he does/doesn't get an email as he never checks.

I think maybe it's a boy thing not to want to try the clothes on. Same issue here. Good news on the car insurance and it won't be long before you break through the first k barrier and have it under 11k.

Re school uniform, it's such a stress isn't it, glad you've managed to get some pants ordered. I can't believe how quickly the 6 weeks have passed this time.
