The letter is dated. Date of issue.
In that case, the letter was issued the same day as the contravention. I’d presume this date of issue was referring to the ticket itself rather than the NTK.
    No. That's not it.

There will be a date on it though. A NTK must have a date.

I can assure you I have thoroughly read through the letter in its entirety trying to find the date of issue for the letter. Only dates printed on the letter are date of contravention and date of issue which are both the same date. Same on the back of the letter, only date mentioned is the date of parking.

What would now be the best action to take presuming the 28 day appeal window has been missed?

    Ignore any debt letters
But there is a date issue despite your denials

Wait and see. It probably wasn't missed. Did you put in the template appeal as keeper?

Is the PCN ref starting with TC or SP?

    PCN ref starts with TE.

Will upload a photo of the rear of the letter once I am home later.

Appealed using this. It’s effectively the same as the template in the sticky.

Photo of the back with number plate and location redacted, no date of issue printed.

Only date of issue is on the front of the letter and is the same as date of contravention.

That says it is a reminder letter, not their first Notice.

If the issue date and contravention date are the same, that's a problem for Smart because they are not supposed to request keeper details until the following day at the earliest.

Not that this matters because no one needs to pay (not so) Smart.

Nothing else has been received to date, I’m confused by this now to be honest. Does this just appear to be some sort of mistake on SMART’s behalf?

What does this mean for my appeal?
