Chase credit card

An email today as a Chase current account holder.
Heads up to keep watch over the next few days for the upcoming launch of a credit card - current account holders will be the first eligible to apply apparently.
Hopefully they will allow additional cardholders.

Intrigued on what the features, plus freebies to join (if any) will be on offer. I’m expecting Chase to perhaps do something a bit different.

I've asked Chase support if additional cardholders will be permitted - will advise soonest when they respond.
UPDATE - apparently there will be no additional cardholders at this stage - but don't quote me.

I have been with Chase since April 2022, but have no expectation of being part of their initial testing group. I don't use them as my primary banking service provider.

However, good to see they have finally entered the credit card business  which is a significant step towards becoming a full services bank, with a view to finally  turning a profit. Once they also start offering personal loans and mortgages, they can really commence making inroads into the almost $1 billion of trading losses incurred in building the bank's UK customer base to this point.

By contrast, their American competitor Goldman Sachs with its Marcus Bank offering has done nothing more to build on its client base of UK depositors, and one wonders if they might ultimately withdraw from the UK. Certainly  they have pivoted the Marcus brand in America away from the lower end retail market to concentrate on the high net worth segment.

Nothing there for me as yet (I’ve had the email). Was it on the main page, or under Rewards etc?

I use Chase debit card for all my everyday spending

If there is no cash back I cannot see the point in me getting one

I will stick with Halifax for larger items

Thanks for flagging this up - I was expecting a follow up email this morning - still waiting !!!
Applied successfully through the app - a useful back up card to supplement the debit card on holiday.
