PC help - windows are too small

For about the last week, whenever I click on a link (say on here), the new window comes up too small and I have to maximise it. This is getting annoying!
What do I have to do in order to fix this as it never used to do it?

Maximise the window and then close it by pressing Ctrl + the X. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

The X at the top right of the window, next to maximise. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

The X at the top right of the window, next to maximise.
When my pc was new (i.e. years ago) a new window would open at full size. Since then they open at the smaller size.
I was hoping this Ctrl + click on 'X' would solve it, as it is very annoying. Perhaps I'm missing something but doing that closes the window but doesn't seem to change the opening size.
Would you have any other suggestions about that? Thanks.0 -

I've tried this too and it doesn't work. All Ctrl and the X does is close the window.
Anyone else know how to solve this

Hover the mouse pointer over the corner of the window and when it changes to a double arrowhead, click and drag the window to full page, then do the same with the other corner.
This should solve your problem.0 -
Haven't done this for a while so don't know if it still works.
Open up the first window which should be normal size. Open the new ( linked or otherwise ) window which will be the small one.
Resize manually be dragging out from the corner until it's the size you want it. Close the first opened window and then close the second, manually resized window.
After that the linked window should open at whatever size you chose when you manually resized it.0 -

Nope, that didn't work either.0 -
I put up the same question a while ago, but never got a solution. Damn thing didn't used to do it, and I've no idea what I might have changed.0
