I advise people regularly on another forum and (weirdly) they seem to get the notification of commitments interview through their UC Journal.
I can't answer as to when that will be for you.

Thanks for replying. I'll check my UC journal. I very recently had an identity appointment for my UC claim and thought (hoped!!) that would be the end of it!

Claims can be busy at the beginning especially dual claims (NS ESA & UC).
I promise you things do settle down and get to a point where minimal or no input is required from you 😊

    @KxMx,

    I've just checked my UC journal - nothing about a NS-ESA interview/appointment.

This letter, which I received today, states that in order to continue getting contribution-based ESA I 'may need to attend a Work Focused Interview with a personal advisor...' And in the next paragragh it states: 'It has been confirmed that you have limited capability for work.' But my legacy ESA was/is Support Group, which I thought was LCWRA, not LCW, so why would I have to attend a work-focused interview' ?

I'm not aware that I have made a dual claim, only a 'managed migration' claim for UC to replace legacy income-related ESA, and believing that any contribution-ESA would simply continue in payment.

The new style esa where it is relevant is automatically implemented following migration to uc. The appointment with the Job Centre which can be a phone call is just to accept a basic new style claimant commitment. Basic meaning you agree to report all changes in circumstances and failure to report changes could result in overpayment debt being owed.

The Job Centre will no doubt contact you in due course. If the new claimant commitment is not issued  I suspect after a period of time esa will stop paying the benefit.

Support group under ESA is LCWRA under UC
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    Hello everybody,

Seems like I was receiving contribution-based ESA after all...

    ❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓

Those date's would confuse a lot of people we can pay you New Style ESA from 2011 ? this is a Contribution based Benefit

We have used Tax years 2008-2009 ?

We cannot pay you an allowance from January 2025 you are required to claim Universal Credit
It has been confirmed you have a LCW.

I thought you went into the Job centre already or is that someone else I'll have to read this again.

Could it have been a migration from Incapacity Benefit?

Reading back it seems you already visited the Job centre to confirm identity and if you was capable of any work requirements but I'm sure you will have a commitment agreement on the journal eventually or maybe you already did so.

It does seem they're using those migration dates of the beginning of the claim but unsure if the OP was on Incapacity benefit originally. Date's have never been clear on any of these letters or the wording I think changes from different offices.
