Agree re shop-bought coleslaw. For such a simple thing, it can contain a quite silly amount of ingredients compared to home made. I used to make it a lot more than I do now & need to resume homemade. I also like Cranks carrot mayonnaise with chopped parsley, pumpkin seeds or currants (or both) in it.

Gnu rails @Suffolk_lass? Details please; I can't get the Flanders and Swann song out of my head now! Love Humdinger xx

@Humdinger1 it's a wrought iron pair of ends with GNU (the maker) as part of the ornate pattern. A four rail system of airer on a pulley like this - Mine is in the deep cupboard, front to back, above the boiler (but the pulleys are not needed as I can reach the ceilings in this part of our house

My big nudge, phoning the Consultant's secretary last week as nobody had fed back on y scan results, resulted in a call yesterday to make a priority appointment today at the fast path clinic. I suspected I knew what this was but casually said to the woman who phoned, "that's the gynaecology oncology fast track clinic I presume" and she confirmed this but cannot tell me anything (obviously). So this afternoon, off I go again. I wanted to see who the consultant is before I get there. The men and women have such different perspectives. I can't though.
So I have also done some helpful research this morning into what the different findings mean and what the treatment options are. So I am armed with a bit more understanding and some questions to ask.
Feeling a tad preoccupied, I still need to study and almost forgot the sourdough bread dough that was proving. It's in now, baking.

Oh gawd, talked Mr Sl through my results, my research and planned questions and he looked very much like a rabbit in the headlights. Got himself under control quite quickly but it explains why I don't overshare with him. He did suggest they need to take a holistic approach - so if they suggest I come off HRT, how will that impact the legacy back fracture nerve damage, mobility and bone strength? (basically, they are looking at me in one area without considering others)

Hope the appointment goes well & the consultant is on the ball. I agree they do only look at 1 thing at a time & never take a whole body approach. Holistic treatment is certainly the way to go.

Ahh SL I'm glad that they're dealing with things swiftly now at least. If you need further visits and have the option to switch to a female consultant then I'd push for that if at all possible as it seems to be becoming increasingly well known that outcomes are better for women when being treated by a woman, certainly in some areas.
Completely agree about needing to take a whole body, pragmatic approach to matters medical - living is one thing, quality of life is another.

Oh my goodness, @Suffolk_lass what a worry. I was put onto the 2-week pathway a couple of years ago when I had a big health scare & they really did get onto all the relevant appointments & further tests swiftly. I hope things will unfold as quickly & efficiently for you - I'm sure they will & we all know you are assertive & good at chasing things if you think they could be happening more quickly. Sending positive vibes your way.
