As you have moved battery have you also tried a reset via the mobo jumper?

No I haven'tHow do I find the jumper?its an MSI MS7728The MoBo instruction leaflet - implies an "optional hole" on rear panelGuess what - no hole !

It maybe marked as JBAT1 it will be 3 prongs (123) with a jumper stored either on prongs 12 or 23. When computer is powered off move the jumper to the other set of prongs so if 12 move it to 23, this clears the CMOS by shorting it. Once done return it to original position then boot up PC.
As you already removed battery it well might not work, but worth trying just in case.

Also the Amazon version only has 32Gb RAM and a 1Tb SSD – compared to 64Gb RAM and 2Tb SSD if I purchase direct.
Should be fairly rapid ?

The shipping policy is here https://www.gmktec.com/pages/shipping-policy-track-your-order?spm=..product_04437c49-0ed0-4dbb-8945-876f3daa2f46.footer_1.1&spm_prev=..collection_48a90fc4-e985-456a-b599-fb6d33eaa7be.collection_1.2
Looks like they lie about the cost so duty is lower but there will be fees to pay, how much depends on the price declared.

"
