Currently feeling really depressed about the thought of having to have a year of being super strict, I do have a holiday in April and away next weekend, but then that's it. I'm used to being away quite a lot, but TBH my son isn't interested any more anyway.
Cannot wait to have an extra £500 a month disposable - although then it will all need to be thrown at pension savings anyway. Plus DH is worried about his job, so the sooner i can get debt free the better (especially because he only knows about half of it).My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Another day, another chance to pay off some debt. Paid £110 monthly payment to the excess tickets that I accidentally purchased, still over £200 to pay off 😑
Sat in a Premier Inn after seeing my parents for a few days, booked it on the free breakfast offer a few months ago so eating my fill so as not to have to think too much about lunch! Will take an apple with me for the train home.
Back to work tomorrow, then NYD off, then back in for a day, then Copenhagen. Why have I booked to go to one of the most expensive cities just after Christmas?!?! Can't wait to get back to be honest, really not in the mood for it.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

It's a tiring time of year, but Copenhagen is supposed to be beautiful! And a change is as good as a rest, they say.
I'm lurking around the debt free boards as I've got a couple of 0% interest credit cards to clear this year and looking for inspiration. I too am feeling a bit worried about a dull year with not much to spend, but I keep reminding myself I've set aside money each month for fun.
I'm doing the earn £2025 in 2025 (extra from the day job) to help- if I managed it, that would be one of them paid off. I don't think I saw that on your challenge list? But you might have been looking for more entertaining ones to challenge yourself.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Hiya - Happy New Year! £4.28 from Ebay and Curious Cat paid off today.
Having to go for lunch with DILs today but hoping DH will pay as its not my family! 🤣 Then leftovers for tea. Stewed some old bits of apple and wrinkly grapes and had with OOD natural yoghurt for breakfast along with a half glass of OJ that was left in the bottle before we went away, that I froze! Plentiful coffee too.
Working tomorrow from home, then away to Copenhagen on Friday, so will be a use it up day tomorrow.
Happy days to everyone xx

Just back from Copenhagen, a REALLY expensive place! Spent about twice what we had anticipated, ugh. So this month now needs to be even more about knuckling down, using what we have, decluttering and just getting through, as I don't want the holiday to push me further into debt. Away again in April, but will have to use some of that saved spending money to pay off what we spent in Denmark, then try and pay that account back before then.

Hi everyone
So sorry I haven't posted for so long, I've just been chipping away at everything, eating from stores, not going out, so it's felt very boring and not worth updating!
However, I have made my monthly payments today, and now have £100 fun spends and £100 food spends until 28 February, so I think it'll be another month of quiet. I have picked up a couple of freelance jobs so that will help, and have finished paying for my holiday in April, so am planning to just have quiet, restful weeks until then, then reassess everything.
Hope everyone is ok.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Morning all
Trying to get back into the habit of posting regularly.
Paid my £5 to the Fiver Friday challenge, and still keeping up with the 1p challenge (so easy on Monzo as it does it for you!).
Lots of Curious Cat surveys - trying to get to £1 every day so I can cash out and this goes straight to my CC. So close to a fiver on Vypr as well (takes FOREVER).
Two items listed on Vinted/Ebay (I cross list then take down whichever listing didn't sell when the other one does), one Vinted sold and sent and one Ebay sold and ready to send.
Husband still unsure of his job security so every single penny counts until my debt is gone - and even after that! I am allowing myself £25 food and £25 fun per week, but have already decided I won't be going out this weekend, so have paid this weeks £25 off my credit card already.
Lunch from stores today, then will make a big pasta dish for tea tonight and lunches tomorrow.
Have great days everyone.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
