Could you sell the tickets locally ? Maybe meet them outside the venue if you can’t transfer them ?
Everyone I know already has tickets and I don't trust Marketplace for things like this, but thank you for suggesting it 😀

Back from my weekend away and still need to tot up spending, but I think we stayed in budget. Another trip at the start of January so hoping there is a little bit left over from what we had put away.

£1.50 PAD made, and a few Vinted bits posted. Off to work now!

    Morning all

Some more bits posted out to Vinted this morning, £35 pending in my account now. Will pay that off the extra tickets when it comes through. Really hoping they open up resale as I'll have a couple of hundred pounds back then!

    PAD £1 to credit card.

Had a nice weekend, local cinema club and a few drinks, now need to have a quiet week as only about £35 left until I get paid on 20 December - and was hoping to not use that until my usual pay day of 28th!

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all

    PAD £1 to CC.

£11 from Vinted paid off surplus tickets and another £25 pending.

Just need to get through the next 10 days - I have just over £21 so not going to be easy! And then a weekend away in January plus my son's birthday - hopefully after that I can get back on an even keel a little, as I said, 2025 will be the year!

Just spoke to the post office to check on my loan and it's all up to date with 13 payments remaining, so I will have definitely paid this off by the end of December 2025. I just need to ensure I don't build up debt again, as I took out the loan in the first place to pay off a credit card! I had been doing zero percent balance transfers but every month. Even with the best of intentions, I kept paying the minimum and eventually it got stupid. I decided that it was better to pay a little interest on a loan than to keep moving the debt and building it up again. If I can keep making those payments plus £350ish to my other credit card, I will then be paid off by December next year, and £500 a month better off! Maybe I need to print a picture of what £500 looks like in pound coins and keep it with me 🤣

    Morning everyone

    £1 PAD made to CC
£10 withdrawn from Vinted and paid off surplus tickets

WFH day today so hopefully no spending, will make double of whatever I make for tea tonight so that DH and I have lunch for work tomorrow; DS will eat at school.

Tickets went on sale yesterday for a show I've been waiting to see in London, had a refundable hotel booked, but tickets were more expensive than expected so when we factored in the cost of the train and all the food and drink, we realised it was close to £600 all in. So we decided not to book, and cancelled the hotel - so that's £106 on its way back to me.

Went out for a few drinks and food last night for a friend's birthday, only spent £21 so not too bad. That's it though now, no disposable income left until pay day! DH gets paid Monday but as I said in my last post, I would prefer to stick to our normal pay dates so it's not tight in January, so will see how long I can go without spending. In fact, I'm going to head over to a NSD thread and challenge myself to not spend for 7 days. Wish me luck!

I don't think anyone is reading this but it's helping me to keep posting so I'll carry on - and if you are reading, hello! Would love to follow you back so let me know if if you have a diary.

    Things done today/yesterday:

Took a purchased gift back to Lidl - £17.99 refund
    PAD £1
£12 withdrawn from Vinted and paid to surplus tickets
£7.20 refund arranged from a yeeeaaarrs old Oyster card
NSD yesterday and hoping for one today too
Cleared out my Vypr surveys so a bit closer to a £5 withdrawal now
Reached withdrawal stage on Shoppix but will leave it there for now as don't need any Amazon vouchers (better value than Paypal)
All meals from stores, same today - bangers and mash tonight!

Looking forward to a quiet weekend before everything starts, need to go through DS present stash to see if I need anything else.

    Have great days everyone x

  • I’m reading and following your journey. You’re doing great 😊. Would you mind letting me know how you sorted out your Oyster card refund please I was in London last weekend and didn’t go to a tube station that had an office so came home not having sorted it. I’ve got 2 that I need to get refunded. Thank you xx
