A good haul from your veg boxes Bubbs!Despite the popular conception that healthy eating is expensive (it is if you low carb I find) I was pleased at how affordably my shopping was on Sunday as I stuck to the list and bought mainly fruit & veg, modest amounts of meat and dairy and a few staples like tinned tomatoes/beans/pasta & couscous. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s the treats and packaged convenience food which adds so much to the bill. Of course I live with three non dieters so my weekend top up will include some treats 🤦♀️.Today’s meals:
B - melon & grapes with fat free Greek yoghurt & 1 tsp honey (1)
L - baked potato, baked beans, 30g cheddar, cucumber, cherry toms (HEA)
S - 1 advent choc (had two as skipped yesterday, so I had one and DH had one) (2)
D - butternut squash & carrot soup with a wholemeal pitta filled with cooked roast chicken slices & HM coleslaw (HEB, 2 - light mayo for the coleslaw)
Syns - 5 (honey, advent choc, light mayo)
HEA - 30g cheddar (only used 1)
HEB - wholemeal pitta
I’ve swapped from lighter than light mayo, which I really, really do not like 🙈 to light mayo instead. I can’t justify 5 syns per tbsp of lovely full fat mayo but I reckon light is a good compromise at 2 syns per tablespoon but is actually edible rather than the 1 syn LTL 🤣 (apols to any LTL mayo fans!).Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Sorry for being AWOL but life is so busy at the moment. It's a mixture of Christmas socialising and trying to get the house straight.
Yesterday food was fine but I rewarded myself for all my hard work with wine syns.
Today was 100% on plan. 👍
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- JP(F), tuna (P), salad (S)
D- spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns - LTL mayo 1

Bubbs, can I ask how you make your egg wraps? They always look so thin but don’t fall apart. Thanks Willow0

Afternoon all, what a breezy day it is today! Glad of it though as needed to do some washing but as we had a lay in this morning after a very late night - was just after midnight by the time we got home and had a cup of tea which was desperately needed after not drinking much during the day other than a glass of wine for me and a beer for DH and we shared a mulled wine, plus some of a bottle of water we took with us but only on the coach both ways as didn't want to carry it about! The washing finally went out on the line about 10.30 this morning and I got it in about half hour ago and all completely dried.
The Christmas market was very much smaller than when we've been before so the 6 hours we had there was really too long. When my friend went by coach a few years ago they only had 4 hours in Brugge which is what we thought it would be and thus home at a more reasonable time! Although we were a bit later than we needed to be but as we'd parked on DD1's inlaws drive thought it only polite to thank them but of course that involved going in and having a cup of tea (and a chance to use the loo!).
Today's plan is a bit of a mish mash of bits from the freezer but at least on plan!
B - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 3
L - fry up - P; S; F; 2 (DH had LO doner kebab and salad from last night which I didn't have or even want at 10pm!)
D - lasagne (from freezer), chips - P; S; F; 2 (from the large lasagne I made a couple of weeks ago and worked out at 2 syns per portion)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; sausages 2; lasagne 2
Hope everyone is having a good day and not working too hard!

Today’s food so far:
B - fat free Greek yoghurt and banana with maple syrup (0.5 - maple syrup)
L - tuna wholemeal pasta with red onion, spring onion, sweetcorn & 30g cheddar (HEA, 1 - light mayo)
And planned:
D - chicken, pepper, onion, courgette, green bean & black bean fajitas with HM salsa, cheese, jalapeños, rocket & a WW wrap (HEA, 2 - olive oil)
That’s 3.5 but I’ll have 1/2 an advent choc too so 4.5 total. I’ll report back here if I do eat anything else!Official weigh in tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Hope your WI goes well tomorrow @Bluegreen143. 👍
I think you're right to go for the mayo you enjoy. Personally I'm happy with LTL and today for my Marie Rose sauce I mix in some Greek yoghurt with the other bits.
Shame you felt your time in Bruges was a bit long @joedenise. I love it there, they even have a chip museum. With mayo of course! 🤣
Today's food has been good until I went to the dancing class Christmas party tonight. We had nibbles but I stuck to things I enjoy, mainly cheese and grapes and a bit of chorizo.
Today's plan-
B HEB toast, eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- beef stew (P, F, S)
Syns - LTL mayo 1, nibbles?0
