I know the criteria is different for both benefits and I tried to raise this in my previous tribunals but to no avail, the DWP said i didn't get LCW/LCWRA so shouldn't get PIP and vice versa.
    So what is it...
DWP were citing the 2 medical assessments, i got LCW at the tribunal.

Of you haven’t applied yet then you are not gaining anything by repeatedly posting on here.
I sent the PIP form back mid January last month, waiting for next stage.

Good luck... but definitely stay away from the 'percentages' talk... as it might imply to them you're trying to game the system when I think you are not. Use terms like majority of the time if required or majority of days. Hopefully you'll get assessment soon... of one form or another. And use whatever evidence works for you (your claim) that is available.

You're right, others might not agree but i'm not gaming the system, there's plenty of other people who do that.

Although this thread is about PIP, you've followed my other thread about WCA and in that case i feel that the DWP let me down when i needed to be off work conditionality as i was in no condition to work or any possibility i would get a job.

Circumstances meant that i lost out, by the DWP not sending me for assessment from their first referral, then sending me from their second referral then covid delayed things for a year and half by them saying they need a face to face appointment and doing it by phone anyway after i complained about the delay. I don't call it bad luck, i call it DWP error which they admitted and apologised for.

Coming back to PIP, at that time i also had mobility and depression issues the majority of the time and i made it clear there's no care issues. This time i still have some of those mobility issues and new ones.

i've got a telephone appointment mid March but i wanted a face to face appointment as it's easier (i think) to get my points across and show the affects of my conditions rather than explain over the telephone.

    can i get it changed?

You would need to ring them & ask.

TBH, from Mrs face to face & later phone assessment. It was the same. They do not ask you to do anything, or look round the house. just talk to you.

As born_again says it is the same assessment.  The only thing they cant do is the physical assessment (for obvious reasons) however post Covid all the assessments initially went to telephone calls. I believe they have restarted face to face.

Face to face would need you to visit an assessment centre (as did all assessments pre Covid) it is rare that they do home visits and this is usually to venerable clients.   You probably wont get a home visit because the telephone assessment will cover all the aspects of the assessment.

My previous assessment in September 2021 was face to face.

The reason I want a face to face appointment is so that I can show the assessor anything i may need to, such as the affects of gout or osteoarthritis or raynauds or how i am with my eye condition. I can only say so much over the telephone but it's not the same.

I don't think they will go through every ailment with you. In my case they asked if I could do a certain exercise and to show them. (I couldn't). I guess they have a number of assessments at certain times throughout the day so try and stick to time. My f2f felt a bit rushed but I had a positive outcome and was happy with the accurate report.

They are not interested in looking at your eyes or swollen joints. They want to talk about how it affects you. It's not a medical examination.
