Happy Christmas @Sue-UU - Stay warm and safe! - Don't be drinking too much (unless it's non-alcoholic mulled wine!).
    Happy Christmas everyone :)
Just popped in while it's quiet here. Nothing major happening today for me (used to be at Mums, bless her). Think I'll do a spring clean today before settling down to watch a bunch of movies (which is my favorite pastime).
I was just looking at my desktop screen actually and noticed iv'e got just over 90 icons on there... so might have to do something about that (another clean up!).
I'll do a summary of my savings so far in the new year, as mentioned in my last post, I forgot to declare this year. I've got to total up all the 'roundups' from the bank too, and I know that was hitting £10 a week, due to all the Notifications Natwest were sending me.
Anyway, I'll bob back soon :)
    Enjoy the holidays everyone

    Happy Christmas/Betwixmas, everyone!

Husband has been poorly - flu symptoms, but possibly COVID. His whole office seem to have had it. Thankfully, he’s on the mend, but it was quiet as just I headed to my parents.

Payday arrived on Christmas Eve, so there was a bit of shuffling of money and £100 plus another £50 from YouGov surveys transferred to the pot. I know we’ve talked about whether YouGov is worth it in the past, but they always seem like interesting surveys so it ticks along quietly for me.

Take care of yourselves with this lurgy hanging around.

Shrapnel from my purse added today. I’m doing the envelope, penny  and £1 a day challenges too so keeping the sealed pot for a smashing surprise in October.  I’m using cash for what I can, so there should be small amounts of shrapnel heading for the glamorous gran fund fairly regularly.

Wouid it be totally indulgent to spend it on Botox? 😆

  • Hi everyone

Sorry I've been MIA. My partner suprised me by proposing at the end of November (I said yes)!

We're going to get married in Scotland in July so I'm sorting out the details and looking for a dress for a 50+ woman with a bit of a belly! Diet starts on Thursday but I'm not sure how much I can reduce my tummy size (previous treatment for cancer).

Stashing shrapnel whenever I pay cash.

    Congratulations, @JynErso!

Happy New Year to everyone! May 2025 be full of saving money.

An added bonus to the funds this morning as my cashback credit card gave me £22 and something this morning.  Duly potted!  A great way to start the year.
