I think you are over thinking this, if this is the place, there is absolutely no way a contract to pay anything was formed:

I've updated the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread with pictures so even if skim reading, it jumps off the page at everyone.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Well I’ve received a debt threat letter now. They say they’ll be moving it on to debt recovery
Doesnt it work like this? They sell the debt to a third party debt recovery firm.
That firm then try and get the money back from you. And as they have nothing to do with the parking how would I appeal it. If they just bought a debt it would be more difficult. Or am I wrong ?

Same here: I think this is the GOLF club not the BOWLS club. I’ll try and get a picture one day this week. Thanks Jim

This doesn’t look like it either

    So what   ?

Ignore the debt collectors and empty threats

They are not allowed to sell on the alleged debt, so why mention it  ? It will never be bought

You cannot appeal it once the appeal deadline has passed

    So you are definitely wrong

The alleged debt stays with the claimant parking company and their data controller,  any 3rd party is a sub contractor

Grizebeck told you what to wait for,  back on page 1

OK fair enough, but no official "debt" exists and nothing can or has been sold to anyone, debt collectors are not a threat, you are over thinking this.

3 years ago I parked  briefly in a no waiting area at a large out of town shopping Centre.(Click &  Collect) I got a ticket within 10 minutes.  I appealed to no avail. After reading this Board I have ignored threatening letters from a debt collectors threatening CCJ's, debt collectors , credit rating problems etc.

Still awaiting  court proceedings . I am retired, have plenty of time, so will enjoy going to court and pleading my case, (Bad signage) if they ever contact me again.

Must admit the letters can get one scared, but just hang on in .  .

Correct,  ignore the empty threats from messengers and only engage with the actual enemy when you identify the uniforms and see the whites of their eyes, be it the or the main army ,  not the useless messengers of doom and gloom ( so not the debt collectors   )

    And no assumptions

Debt collectors are not allowed to buy parking charge debt. The invoice has not been 'sold' but it's irrelevant because you've already been signposted to the NEWBIES thread advice.
