MRI scan results

I'm still not clear where the blame lies in them getting the email address wrong. If you verbally told them the email address to use, then realistically there's no chance of apportioning blame. However if it was written down and they've typed it wrong, then it's clearly their fault.
It does seem you were quite clear that you wanted the results quickly, and they haven't provided that. I can't see any mention of timescales in the terms and conditions on their website.
Given that you haven't paid, it seems it's down to you how far you want to push it. You could not pay, explain why, and see if they take you to court. You'd then have to defend yourself in court. Only you can decide whether this is worthwhile.0 -

Regardless of whats happened you are not entitled to a free MRI. Have you ever made an admin error?0

My point is, I couldn’t get a scan through my GP fast so I paid myself because I was told 2/3 days rather than going through the nhs ,they have lied about them discovering the mistake ,they have lied about contacting my gp for the email address , I was then sent for a ct scan through the nhs and got the results faster than 10 days what I should have done is march into my local hospital and demand a mri scan like someone I know on £2020 a month benefits and get it for freeTheSpectator said:Regardless of whats happened you are not entitled to a free MRI. They did say ‘normally 2/3 days’ not guaranteed.1

I think the reduction they have offered is reasonable considering the total cost, unless you are prepared to not use that scan at all and wait for a new one on the NHS (and then argue that you shouldn't pay them anything). You can't insist that you shouldn't pay because the results were too late and also use it - either you could use it (so should pay) or you couldn't use it (so shouldn't pay). Pick one.
Unless you have a urgent need for a scan straight away, I don't think you would get an appointment, have the scan and get results back from the NHS within 10 days. I'd expect to wait longer than that just for the appointment. You have definitely had some added value from paying for the scan privately.0 -
10 days was for the results only appointment was separate I had a ct scan after through the nhs results 7 days I asked they said 2/3 days that is what I paid forrach_k said:I think the reduction they have offered is reasonable considering the total cost, unless you are prepared to not use that scan at all and wait for a new one on the NHS (and then argue that you shouldn't pay them anything). This depends on your reason for having an MRI scan. In some cases, your radiologist will be able to interpret and let you know your results on the same day as your scan. In other cases, you will receive your results within one week. Where does it say 10 days and only if I find the mistake otherwise I would never have got it
