Electronically signed PDF emailed off. Automatic response received. I checked the attachment and i sent the defence with the figure of £178.16 rather than £170. I had altered this but maybe didn't save it. Is that gonna effect anything. I would think it a minor issue and not relevant

Just had a phone cal from DCB Legal, recorded message saying they need to speak to me urgently and to press 1 is i am Slim Shady which i didn't. Presume they want to do some kind of deal and it's all part of the process

Correct,  ignore the phone calls,  only deal with the paperwork in a written format,  paperwork,  email etc

Latest email is an email informing they are still going to proceed. I presume this is more threatening and scare tactic.

    "Good afternoon

Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim. In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court. Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence. If you have provided an email address within your Defence, we intend to use it for service of documents (usually in PDF format) hereon in pursuant to PD 6A (4.1)(2)(c). Please advise whether there are any limitations to this (for example, the format in which documents are to be sent and the maximum size of attachments that may be received). Unless you advise otherwise, we will assume not.

    Kind Regards,

Standard stuff,  file away and ignore them, concentrate on following the 12 steps instead,  in the defence template thread

Just about to fill in the CNBC Deffence Questionnaire that was sent to me and going through the 12 steps it clearly says to email the filled in questionnaire and not to post it. I don't have access to a scanner. The only thing i can do is take images of it as best poss and crop them. Is this going to be suitable or does it have to be in PDF or scanned?

If you have a smartphone or similar,  sign a piece of paper in black ink, take a picture of it and add it to the pdf N180 form

In theory you just type your name,  personally I would do both, belt and braces approach, but it probably doesn't matter   ( you dont need a scanner,  and a digital camera will suffice these days,  so look for solutions,  not problems  )

You are definitely the Defendant,  you stated it in your defence,  the clue is in the name

Update on the case. I had my mediation call a month ago maybe which was pretty painless. This is the first correspondence since then.
Notice Of Transfer Proceedings dated 7th May (Only just posted today on 21st May)
The Claim Has Been Transferred to the County Court at Bournemouth & Poole for allocation. On receipt, the file will be transferred to a procedural judge who will allocate the claim to track and give case management directions. Details will be sent to you in a notice allocation.

Was hoping this would have been dropped by now. I will check the 12 steps for what to do but does this look like i will have to go to court? i could really do without any more hassle, i have so many other important things happening in my life right now with family members very ill etc
