3 loads of washing on the line. and I have run a couple of errands. I've been to town in birkenstocks, jeans and a t-shirt. I had to take my long sleeved hoody type top off!

At the risk of being over dramatic I am officially done in, brain dead and non-functioning. Doing 9 hours at the paid stuff rushing from one thing to another is not good for my menopausal brain.
The kitchen is a bit messy but the sink is empty of pots, and the DW and WM are on. I have ironed also our awful duvet cover that is impossible to sort out if you try to iron it when it is bone dry.
Despite the long day I am behind with the paid stuff but I am WFH tomorrow which is something.7 -
Hugs to you YL - deep breaths! It' been prettty mild here today too so this morning we went to the park. There are some kisoks there which sell coffee, cakes etc. and when buying a coffee for A I noticed that a single sccop of ice cream in a cone was £4.10 and a double scoop £5.70! Perhaps I'm out of touch but nearly £6 for a take-away ice cream seems ridiculous. A didn't like the coffee (I treid it and it was very weak) so on the way back we stopped off at the pub! A barely drinks so he just had a zero alcohol lager, which I have to say are pretty good now and, to me, indistinguishable from the 'real' stuff. I just wish you could get zero alcohol wine that is as nice. I've tried a couple but they are not that great and I would rather not bother. The only flying I've done is the wahing up and I also cleaned the bathroom floor and had a qucik vac around. I normally buy Dettol floor wipes as the cheap ones always seem to curl up almost instantly but the Dettole wipes are very expensive for what they are. I've now discovered the M&S ones and they are much cheaper and do a good job, and although I'm not overly keen on the fragrance (lemon and ginger - sounds nicer than it is) at least it comes from natural sources and not chemical 'lemons' like the Dettol ones.A has his covid and flu vaccinations tomorrow. His mobility seems to have taken another step downwards recently and he is also in more pain; it's a bit of a worry really. He was supposed to have an orthopaedics appointment this month but it's been re-scheduled to late afternoon on Chrismas Eve and needless to say he's not very pleased about that. I think he might seek another date.Sleep well everyone.7

i agree CoG 0% alcohol wine is rubbish but lagers are lovely…since my diagnosis i have cut right down on alcohol. I’ve found a couple of fizzy ‘wines’ I like but they don’t taste like wine. Alcohol free gin is rubbish

I'm with you on the alcohol-free stuff. The lagers are great, the gin is just juniper-flavoured water and all the AF wine is vile. When I stopped drinking alcohol ten years ago it was B3cks Blu3 that got me through but the choices are much wider now and that's a great thing. The only AF lager that is truly vile is f0st3rs. Undrinkable.Wordle in six, two lines on Connections so far and I have hope for the others.Stash-busting - I'm going to let a lot of wool go. There's one blanket I'll keep working on but in all honesty the bulk of it is not going to give me much pleasure to work with so as it's only to occupy my hands when I'm watching TV there's little point in making blankets I don't want to use.or give away. I made one a few years ago we use and I love it so I may get that particualar wool again. I can put it on the Scrapstore pile and drop it off next Thursday when it's open and I'm passing.Wardrobe clear out today. The best laid plans...
washing on line. I WAS going to fly, honestly, but dad phoned while I was in the shower so I'm off to help him clear his 'treasured possessions' from the allotment, which he's agreed to give up. I shall have to put socks on, too

Evening all,Day of work today - wasn't too bad as it was Year 2 this morning and they changed me to Year R this afternoon, so that was quite stress-free. However, to balance this, DS1 decided that as I'd called him when he was half-way home from school to remind him to bring home his PE kit (I'd called him when he got out 10 minutes earlier as well, but his phone must have been on silent still), that he wasn't going back (the walk is 8 minutes total, so would have taken 4 minutes), and so I've told him he'll have to put up with a stinky PE kit then as I'm not washing it if he brings it home on Monday. It's annoyed me as I like to wash it every week, and his PE top is a white synthetic one, which means that it can only be washed with his light synthetic school shirts, otherwise it would have to have its own washload. I'm not hand-washing it either.Have done connections and completed wordle in 5. Have also washed up my lunchbox and coffee cup etc from work, registered the new cat tags online, and caught up on emails and surveys.Hugs for all poorlies. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176

Well done on the decluttering front, Honey_Bear x
Valli, with your help, I hope your dad has managed to decide which are his most treasured possessions and let go of the rest - it's hard to say goodbye to tools that are old friends xx
I took the last of my ABs this morning, and today is the first day for over a week that I have had even the slightest bit of mental or physical energy. We were supposed to be going out and meeting up with a friend for lunch, but her daughter is permanently immunocompromised, and when I rang her to say that DH and I both still had the remnants of our chest infections, she immediately asked us to postpone for a fortnight. It has given me some much-needed time to start writing questions for next Saturday's EcoQuiz (I've prepared one round so far, out of 10), and as it was sunny this afternoon I planted up the patio pots with spring flowering bulbs and pansies or wallflowers. I couldn't have done it if I had also needed to take Rosie for a walk, but as it's a Friday she went out to the woods with her pack, led by L and her dog-walking assistant.
And now it's the weekendHave a good one, everybody xxx
