Evening all.
Hope all poorlies are resting.
It was usual Monday here except only two DGDs today as baby was having a procedure at hospital. I'm tired now so having done the dishes, will leave all other flying until tomorrow.
Oh, thanks for the list.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Hi all
Sexymouse you are not overreacting being annoyed about your visitor, I would have been too.
Take care Iona x
A good day here. I am currently working through my self help book as suggested by my CBT practitioner. I have been thinking about self-esteem and not feeling good enough. Lots for me to work on!
30 minutes kettle bells workout done first thing, 8 hours paid stuff, dinner eaten, kitchen put to bed, overnight oats made. Feet up now.8 -
Great work HoneyBear - don't forget if your stain doesn't lift, it may be worth giving napisan a shot. I seem to have had more success with that than elbow grease bar and vanish for most stains I've come across, and it's safe for colours too.Hope baby is ok Jazee. Thanks Yorkshirelass - well done on the workout as well as paid work - I'm on the Bodycoach app, but fell off the wagon in April when I broke my toe running up my stairs. I've stuck to the food, but need to get back on the workouts.Well the crumble was made with some of the apples, and I've just been around to a neighbour to give her some more of the apples, which she was appreciative of. Looking forward to dinner, but hope my sports massage therapist doesn't mind garlic as our dinner is loaded with it! Eek.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177 -
Hello,
Thank you for the lists. Thank you, Natty, for setting up the card swap. Yes please, details the same as previous years, but PM me if you’d like me to resend them.
I hope you are resting, Iona. Please look after yourself x
Sexymouse, I would have been annoyed too.
Good luck mind mapping, Round. Don’t forget to do one with YOU right at the centre x
Tedious day at work. Tasty, healthy dinner cooked with lots of hg veggies in it. Much needed after a weekend of rather decadent eating. WULTD. Now for an evening of knitting, reading, anything else that doesn’t require me to move a great deal from my spot on the settee.

Fayolle and Round have popped you on the list, you're the first two names so far. I do hope the number expand....😁
Iona hope you feel better soon.
Well I finally have a diagnosis as to why I've been feeling so rough after the last boutof covid. After much nagging from a friend and my sister, even though I didn't think it was necessary, I trundled up to a Drs appt this morning. Well the diagnosis is I've got Long Covid. Apparently there's a lot of it around in my part of Wales as the Dr had seen a fair few before. No timeframe as he said it'll go when it's ready, just listen to my body. I laughed and said what's it telling me when I'm coughing up ick...we then joked about it.. Thankfully he was a good Dr and explained a few things to me to put my mind at rest.
I've said it before and I'll say it again the Drs that I see in Wales are bloody brilliant, so much better than the drs back in England who couldn't be ar&ed most of the time.
Had lovely seated pilates session this morning too, but I now ache. But the instructor thinks I might have hyper mobility. So looks like I've got to check that out now, but it could explain a few things going in with the ME.
I have flown today too, I cleared the cupboard in the bathroom of stuff not needed, emptied bin in there and wiped the sink and bath down.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Iona and Natty get well soon.
Honeybear I'm always losing Mr N's cards as we have a drawer for cards and of course I have to hide his somewhere else. One year he got his Christmas card in the evening and has been known to have one a year late. However in true soulmate fashion, we've several times got each other the same card, and once even the same present - not only a watch which neither of us had mentioned wanting, but actually identical designs!
Round I hope your mind maps go well. If you like them and want an electronic one (can be neater as you can re-type and move messy bits), there are several free ones e.g. X-mind or mi-mind. Also consider putting individual items on a post-it then you can gather together similar topics and move them around. Sorry just getting my learning support hat on!
The time with Mum and Canadian visitors was mixed; lots of great time with Canadians on Sat and Sun. Mum was pleased to see them and had lots of smiling reasonable conversation but seemed convinced that I was there to take her "home" so was distraught when I left, despite my saying I would be back in 2 weeks. I'm trying to train myself that I can get upset in the immediate time after seeing her, then I have to go away and lead my life. Work in progress. We then had a good walk and meal with BIL and a good journey home.
Today zumba x 2.
One load washing done.
One load through DW.
One phone call, one diary filled and a few emails done of "Mum's admin".
Some of my own admin done.
Bird feeders filled.
Greenhouse checked, picked a pepper, a cucumber and some tomatoes. Still several white aubergines and some tomatoes left.
Mr N did a load of lounge flying while I did some drumming practice and chopped ingredients for the dinner he was cooking when I was at evening zumba.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all. I'm up early of course as I'm off work till Thursday.
Wordle done in three, no lines on connections but I was on the right track for a couple of lines.
Today I will fly, do dailies and dog walk, go to exercise class and get my flu jab.
First of four wash loads is in machine but I should be able to dry it outside today.
Baby is fine btw. Onwards and upwards.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Haven't had time to tackle Wordle because I spent so long identifying incomplete or groups of five. Back to it later.Love it Narco!Natty - have you not received a PM from me about the Christmas card swap? The two loads of washing I put out last night were drizzled on late in the evening yesterday but today is sunny so I'm leaving them out there. The pre-soak and vanish did the trick and I dried the tablecloth indoors so it's ready to iron. Now I need to clear the ironing board which has been a dumping ground for about three weeks with things that are TDTD - Too Difficult To Do.Dog walk, vacuuming, dusting and ironing in that order.Breakfast, Dog walk, vacuuming, dusting and ironing in that order.
Better is good enough.6
