Glad to hear that the baby is ok, Jazee x
Thankfully, I am feeling somewhat better this morning - even my brain is getting back to the point where I can make straightforward decisions.
DH is being discharged today, but the ward sister is arranging transport by taxi for him so that I don’t have to mix with sick people! The house is tidy and as clean as it needs to be, so I am continuing to take it easy. Rosie will get a very short walk later, once the drizzle stops.
And DH has just rung to say that his taxi is waiting outside the hospital, so he should be home by midday. I’d better get showered and dressed 🥹
Hope everyone has a good day xxx8 -
Me again. Glad you're feeling a bit better Iona.
I have been busy. I have my mojo back.....sofa covers freshened, admin and banking up to date, dailies and dog walk done, bedding changed, flat surfaces in bedroom dusted, downstairs loo and bathroom cleaned including throwing out all those unused toiletries as per list.
Going to tidy my nails next before going out.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
I now have a rabbit run for Daisy/Daisy Daisy (give me your answer, do) or Daisy Duke (depending on my mood she has 3 versions of her name) and, like a good little (curious) bunny she went straight in, having watched them build it from the 'portable' run, although we did have her bolting round the portable run in a panic when the men first turned up.
While they were here I have S&S'd the kitchen (and boy did it need it), emptied DW and restacked, WUALTD, ironed ALL the 'dry' washing and hung it to air, made my lunch, WUALTD again, cut down my peonies and put them in the green bin ready for collection on Thursday and let the other two rabbits out. The older rabbits are well behaved and go back into their hutch at night, unlike Daisy Daisy who is sassy and has attitude. Well, problem now solved. She's investigated her run thoroughly, hopped in and out of her hutch (which is in there, now) multiple times so, hopefully, no more running around the garden in the cold and dark chasing a fit rabbit and swearing every night.
I'm waiting for my amazon delivery - I have given up and ordered a sock putter onner as my hip objects to my attempts to put a sock on my right foot and aches in protest.
ETA delivered. feet now both have socks on - so simple and easy!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

DH came home in time for lunch. His meds caught up with him mid-afternoon.
I did the final stage of cooking the chicken soup, put it on the table, ate my portion, and then slept for most of the afternoon. No stamina left, but I am going to cook sausage and chips for tea so want to get some fruit loaves in the oven at the same time - fortunately they are very easy to make!
Somewhere there is a pile of washing waiting to be done...5 -

Gym swim.
Made chocolate cake and oat biscuits for church group meeting this evening. Frozen 6 leftover pieces of cake before I scoffed them (3 left on the plate for that, not to mention a few biscuits).
Cleaned kitchen

I've been trying to source the only gf flour I can eat - I usually order in bulk from 1 or 2 places but nobody seems to have any. So if anyone sees Orgran gluten-free flour - either plain or self-raising, please let me know.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
