Morning all. No luck with wordle or connections today, probably a bit early for my brain.
I'm off out today with friends, going west to just above Wales so I'll wave to fly ladies on the way.
Will see if I can fit in any flying before I leave, but priority will be walking Poppet.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all,Glad that DH is home now iona and I hope he continues to improve. How are you feeling now too? What a good bunny Daisy is Valli, and it sounds like I may need to look into the sock putter onner too for my right hip.Enjoy your day out Jazee.Welcome Charlylovesphil.Managed to hoover the whole of our downstairs yesterday, did some laundry and decluttered the hallway so it is looking much more welcoming. I also had my second sports massage, attended another parenting course and then had my pilates class too. Didn't sleep well last night as I was aching all over (combination of the massage and pilates workout, which as we've been there for a year, is much more of a workout if she's focussing on strength etc).Wordle in 4 today, but only one line of connections. I do find connections tricky sometimes due to the fact that it is American and they have terms or shows I've not heard of. I was on the right lines with one, but was completely stumped on the 4th word in that set.DH and I are off mattress shopping today again, as the mattress we narrowed it down to in the independent local shop was double the price of the original one that I bought and had to send back, and there's a 7 week wait for it too once we order it. There aren't that many bed shops locally to us, so travelling to a city whilst the boys are at school. Fingers crossed we find one we like that can be delivered quicker and is also available quicker too - if not, we'll have to go with the expensive one. As work seems to have gone quiet again, it's a bit of a worry spending out on big tag items.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20175

@Sexymouse - oh it's a game changer...the sock gets pulled right up. I can PM you the link to mine if you want it but I suspect they are all much of a muchness.
At work; came early to let a new co-worker in but so far, no sign. Left the outer door unlocked and sent the code for the inner door. But had to go home for breakfast/meds/slap on face; I have taken to wearing make up daily because I have lots and it's in danger of becoming a SABLE (or being wasted by going OOD), especially since the Look Good Feel Better course when they gave me a bagful. Showered first then did the half hour afterward. At least I'm only a mile or so from home.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I have to ask though, what does 'becoming a SABLE' mean?Wordle in four, one line on Connections.Difficult letter written and posted whiie I walked the dog in the pouring rain, washing up done. Today is not going to be a day of achievements.

SABLE - Stash Above and Beyond Life Expectancy. Usually used by wool/fabric 'hoarders' on crafty threads.
£30 has gone missing at work (and we are on our uppers). Two transactions through the till on the day in question - one a card payment, one a cash payment. So the cash payment was recorded on the till but then not put in. Not dealing with master criminals here, am IAm resisting pointing out the stupidity of ringing in the amount but then swiping it...

Hello everyone. I've not been on for a couple of weeks and haven't been able to catch-up on the posts I've misssed so forgive me if I don't coment on anything important. I did, though, see that @ionafan and her family have been through the wars. Sending you hugs and hoping you're all better now, or will be soon. I hop that everyone else is ok too.Nothing of note to report since I was on last - just the usual stuff so I'll move switly on to today. I'm in the processing of finishing off the drying of the three loads of washing I did yesterday. I've also cleaned the bathroom basin, mirror and lav, wiped down all visible surfaces in the kitchen, apart from the floor, and bleached the sink and washing-up pad. I also had both an Ocado and a Waitrose delivery and put all the things away. After lunch I washed up and then made some oat biscuits and we had a couple each at tea time. They were better than the last lot I made, when I used jumbo oats (as that's what I had). This time I used regular oats, and made each biscuit a little smaller. The last lot were more like scones but these were fine, although if I make them again I might leave them in the oven for another 2 or 3 minutes. Before tea we rang our friend in Plymouth; he had a stroke in the summer. He sounded much better and he might be able to go back to his flat, albeit with an increased care package. He really wants to so I hope it can happen but I do worry about whether he would be safe.Soon it will be time to prepare supper, wash up, do night meds etc., etc.5

Well after our trip to the city, it confirmed that my choice from the local bed shop was actually the best one, despite it being more expensive than the original mattress we bought that was too big, so we went there after picking the boys up from school (partly also so I could re-try the 2 that we'd narrowed it down to before, but partly because I'd tried so many mattresses by then, that I wanted to check it still was the most comfortable). Deposit has been put down, so hopefully it will arrive at the start of December, so an early Christmas present to us.So other than the dailies, not much flying here I'm afraid. No phone call or message about work tomorrow, so will try to do some more then. I have an open morning at DS2's school first thing, followed by a coffee catch-up with an ex-colleague friend. Should be home for the afternoon. Must remember to phone the vets tomorrow as the cats need their flea and worming treatment this Sunday.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176

- aqua aerobics
- one load through washing machine, hung out
- a lot of garden pruning and shredding done
- showed local electrician where new cooker will go so he can do a quote. Range will be disconnected tomorrow, very sadly.
- various bits of admin. Uni manager and church warden copied me in on the reference forms they completed for me for the voluntary work; very embarrassing. Am having coffee with uni manager tomorrow; cakes and drinks will certainly be on me.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Valli said:SABLE - Stash Above and Beyond Life Expectancy. Usually used by wool/fabric 'hoarders' on crafty threads.Useful. I have a few of those stashes myself, and not just for wool and fabric, but I'm too embarrassed by the hoarding to admit to the other categories. So many plans, so little time.Would anyone else be interested in working out a plan of action for some Flyladies and Gents to deal with any stashes we might have that realistically are a SABLE so we could do them alongside one another? Or am I the only one, other than Valli and her make up, that would be interested in de-sabling?Nothing on Connections this morning, Wordle in four.Forgot the dog walker was coming AGAIN this week. It's a weekly thing, but because it's my volunteering day I didn't have to remember that, other than prepping the envelope for her which I do at the end of every month for the next month. I've trained someone to do my volunteer role for various reasons and when she's in I get a week off - I cover the school holidays and any other time she wants to skip a week. The system's working really well, but I dog forget the dog walker, and have been known to walk her a mile and then load her into the dog walker's car!Today's plan - the black/colours clothes drawer needs a sort and making two quichey-type flan things, to use up some of the leftover clotted cream from the reception-type event; one for the freezer and one for us tonight for supper.
