I've not had the recycle bags for printer cartridges yet, I know I should have more patience. I did have an email reply but I am wondering wether I ought to ring them instead. Has anyone got a suitable number to ring? Also what should I ask for exactly?
I rang the customer service number for a phone recycle bag and this arrived by return but I had difficulty describing exactly what I wanted.

I've posted all the details about mobile phone recycling, which are different to previous, in a seperate thread on "freebies", not sure wether this was the correct place but this thread is getting long and muddled up with other stuff LOL“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

i know, we're upset too ... when i got the £40 in vouchers i needed for the 2 passes i'd had to buy myself i sold them on ebay for £95 so that went some way towards the £160 i paid for our passes. in 6-12 months i will start saving points for a holiday (points are valid for around 2 years, we're not going yet) - points are worth 4x the value off certain holidays, we will either go to disneyland resort paris with cresta, or florida with cosmos. sorry that doesn't help you with what you wanted. if you live near alton towers is drayton manor also near? points can be swapped for tokens for entry there too.52% tight0

Oh well. We are literally 10 miles from Alton Towers, so really liked the idea of popping up there for an afternoon, walking the baby around the gardens - all the bits you don't usually get to see cos you are queuing for the rides and rushing to fit everything in. And of course, being able to go in for free when friends and family come up to stay, desperate to go to Alton Towers.
Maybe if enough people email Tescos deals about it, they'll renegotiate and get it back for next year? Did they announce why they weren't doing it any more?0 -
i think tussauds pulled out, it wasn't tescos idea. some people did email them in feb, i remember one person said they'd agreed to let him use his points from the may statement, they posted the day after i'd bought my passes lol! it might be worth finding the thread. we've been quite a few times since getting the passes, it's nice to do the things you normally miss out on - the magic show, things like that and young spud likes to spend ages in the soft play area but it feels silly to spend all that money getting in there just to play in a soft play area so you see loads of other parents dragging their kids out kicking and screaming because they won't feel they got their moneys worth unless they go on rides. we will go for the fireworks after school one day, not bother with rides really, just go to see the fireworks display. annual passes also mean it's only £6 each (half price) to get into the waterpark (cariba creek) - it's fantastic there. babies are free at alton towers anyway, when mine's born i'm assuming we won't need a pass for him, i'm desperate to go on rita!!
it might be worth you swapping clubcard vouchers for one day tickets, it's £7 in vouchers for one ticket, but it's not really worth 4x in deals when you consider that there are usually 2 for 1's around so it would usually only cost you £14 to get into alton towers, not the full £28. if you do decide on passes then do it at the end of the day and get the £28 entry fee taken off, that way it's only £52. sometimes full alton towers tickets sell well on ebay, for more than £14 (lots of people are wary of 2 for 1's) so have a look, it may be worth swapping a few points for passes, selling them and making enough money to buy your pass that way. i sold a one day ticket for £22 in april.
anyway i'm babbling, sorry. we looked for printer recycle bags in tesco today and couldn't see any. we did get a nice shop assistant who let me use vouchers from zing to get 20% off a DS game. usually they say each voucher has to be different, but she took several of the same voucher :-)52% tight0 -
I spoke to Tescos and the lady in the clubcard department said basically the annual passes were their most popular deal and that so many people were getting them that Tussauds felt they were losing money on the day tickets!! LOL. So they put a stop to it. She did say that Tescos would love to go back to doing them as it encouraged people to save more points for them but that Tussauds won't let them.
I guess its that spending £40 of points on annual passes sounds justifiable but I'm not sure I can pay £160 unless like you say I can manage to convert £7 points tickets into more money!! Thanks for the tips!0 -
What a good idea you have there.
Think I'll be paying weekly visits to all my neighbours recycle boxes for those Hp empties ..
