Max out your Tescos Clubcard Points

Yes 300 points = £3 clubcard vouchers which can = up to £12 in clubcard deals (alton towers, MFI etc...). This isn't really a way to "earn" money unless you regularly collect clubcard points and use them for stuff - like we want 4000 points for 2 annual Alton Towers passes (usually costs £140 for 2) or 700 points will get you a free day ticket to Alton Towers (usually costs £28). It's not really worth doing it just for using the clubcard vouchers in store as their face value doesn't make it worth enough.
300 points would usually be earned by £300 spend in Tesco's.
There is no limit on inkjet cartridges as this previous post implies!! :
"Don't be shy!!
Can you recommend a friend or hand more around the office?
Just Click the link below to request as many bags as you like...
http://inkagain.co.uk/charity/order_bag_form.htm "
BUT the link given for ordering bags IS NOT the Tesco's bags - its just inkagain's normal charity bags. You need to email them for the Tesco's bags at tescobags@inkagain.com These are special green Tesco's freepost bags that have the clubcard offer written on them and a slip to fill in your name, postcode and clubcard number to put inside with the cartridge.
Am sending my first 7 off today - was told on the phone that it would take a couple of weeks for the points to show up on my clubcard....so we'll see.0 -
Is it me but I can't see them for that price on eBay?0
-
If only you could get £30 for an old cartridge! lol
I'd be buying out all the shops and sending in new ones!0 -
Yeah, I even had a look around all the bulk special offers to see if anyone was selling any for less than 50p a unit - wouldn't put it past some of the new generic ink suppliers for some of the little plastic HP inkjets. LOL0

Interestingly, I went to a smaller Tescos today in Stoke-on-Trent rather than the HUGE EXtra store I usually goto, and all they had were these green freepost charity bags - nothing about clubcard points and the charity was Tesco's 2002 charity not the 2004 or 05 one, so...looks like they didn't fly off the shelves!0

Order the recyle bag on there with Tesco brand:

Hi I own a cartridge refilling company. Not sure if I should be posting here, so feel free to move or delete this post if I am overstepping the mark. We run an ink cartridge recycling scheme and have recycle bins in charity shops in our local area, where we pay £1 per cartridge to the relevant charity, for HP & Lexmark cartridges. We will also pay the general public £1 per cartridge as long as the cartridge is of use to us. This will obviously help me in my business and of course will make you money that doesn't have to be spent in Tesco's. Feel free to get in touch if that is ok with Martin. If not then i apologise for the post.0

Swattie wrote:The reason they recycle them is so they can recondition then refill them and sell them under their own brand. If you look at their own cartridges they're not new they're reconditioned.
Yes, they reimburse the customer or the charity to the value of £1. Then they clean it up, put a few pence worth of ink into it repackage it and then sell it on for a huge profit. It's not really about the environment or donating to age concern - that's just the hook to get you send them your cartridges so they can resell them.
The HP56 (black) equivalent sells at around £12.99 and the HP57 (3 colour) equivalent sells at £14.99.
Still, recycling and 50p to charity is better than throwing them away.
WHSmiths sell their reconditioned cartridges for extortionate prices - half as much again as Tesco - a real rip off. I bought one and then returned it to store when I found out it was reconditioned and even the staff didn't know - they'd been actively trying to persuade customers to buy them and thought they were new HP ones which were rebranded.
To further Swattie's comments, Tesco will probably be paid between £1.00 & £3.50 (depending on the cartridge) by inkagain.co.uk (aka Enviromental Business Products).
So yes, you may feel happy that 50p goes to charity and that you get 50 clubcard points, but Tesco get the last laugh, they ensure that you spend your money in their stores in order to redeem your vouchers.
If we keep on this way it will be a lot more than £1 out of every £5 spent in the UK being spent in Tesco.
Is it just me that thinks that is far too much to just one company...?
TESCO - EVERY LITTLE HELPS.......! LOL0 -

You will be the person to ask then why no-one recycles epsons?
