I work for uber is to let them know that this isn’t an ordinary vehicle but a private taxi so may be allowed to stop for passengers that could potentially have a disability. Maybe your right and that should be removed

The last paragraph is to counter the £40 discount they offering me. And also just entering people into contracts with stupid rules

It also tells them that the person writing the appeal was actually the driver.

    No need to remove it.
Perhaps replace that phrase with something like "The driver works for Uber".

Rarely is there a place for the word 'I' in an appeal.   :)

Don't send that appeal. It reads very badly.

Remove this which is not relevant:

"If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner."

And remove this which is a mess (sorry):

"The vehicle may work for Uber so generally stating which maybe relating or not relating to this parking charge notice, if a taxi driver or Uber Driver needed to pick up a passenger and they’ve got a PCO license or private hire licence they be allowed to pick up from these locations".

And remove this terrible ending completely:

"By acknowledging this email, you are entering into a binding contract between UKPC and myself. You are required to fully respond to all statements made herein, or confirm the cancellation of the charge. You are given 28 days to reply. Failure to address any point or withholding information or missing the deadline will constitute a breach,  incurring a penalty of £3,000. Should such a breach occur, payment must be made in full within 30 days to the bank account of my choice, with a £10 discount if settled within 14 days."

Just add here the extra sentences shown, to this end bit:

The problem with PPC adopting highway code equivalent signage is that the motorist will reasonably assume that restrictions are equivalent, unless signs are REALLY clear. As a reminder, the highway code provides thus:

    "Red Route stopping controls

Red lines are used on some roads instead of yellow lines. The double and single red lines used on Red Routes indicate that stopping to park, load/unload or to board and alight from a vehicle (except for a licensed taxi or if you hold a Blue Badge) is prohibited."

The vehicle in question was an Uber (the driver has a PCO licence) and was merely picking up a passenger, as your sneaky CCTV will have captured. That is allowed on red lines. Without any repeater signs facing oncoming traffic, this is not a 'red route' anyway.  Either way there was no breach. Want to take it to POPLA? Bring it on. You are in breach of the new joint Code.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No need to be sorry. This is a good guide and I appreciate the help you’re providing. So Thankyou

Look. The driver either needs to rely on the fact they are a licensed cab driver (thereby admitting who was driving since it can't be anyone else) or run some other defence...

Precedents are like fire - good slaves, but bad masters.

Don't let the template dictate your defence, select the helpful elements and bin the rest, so you have a bespoke document.
Yeh I think I’ve added too much. I’m gonna argue the car is uber and the driver was picking up but won’t indicate who was driving. Just keep it vague

Yep. I feel better about asking first before thinking I got a good appeal and posting. More people looking at it can give good advice

  • I sent the appeal template to

    sales@ukparkingcontrol.com

    And

    complaints@ukparkingcontrol.com

They sent an automated email reply stating

    Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for contacting UKPC. Our team will get back to you promptly.

Please note that we will not reply to emails regarding Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) or appeals.

    To appeal, visit www.ukpcappeals.co.uk.
To make a complaint, email complaints@ukparkingcontrol.com
To make a subject access request, email subjectaccessrequest@ukparkingcontrol.com
Please allow 28 days for a response from these email addresses.

    Many thanks,
    UKPC

Same with the other email. Will I be ok completing their appeals form. There’s a section asking driver, registered keeper, driver and registered keeper. as you can see from the pic above.

If I select registered keeper that’s ok right?

I don't understand why you randomly chose unrelated emails to send an appeal? The PCN tells you the ONLY methods to appeal and it isn't by email.

If I select registered keeper that’s ok right?
    Of course.

But show us your appeal first. Again.
