  • Ok I trust you guys🙏
You need to do your application this coming week, re your other thread. You MUST focus only on the application and NOT delay that.
My family member is the one who made this thread so this one has nothing to do with me. 🙂

Keith, I’ve checked her thread and I’ll message her to give you guys an update on her situation.

  • Good evening all,

Got this in the post today. Had a similar one about a month ago should I be worried?

They seem quite thorough and send a lot of letters. Is countrywide known to do the court dance?

    Thanks 🙏

No I don't really recall a Countrywide claim (certainly not commonly) but Trace Debt is related to Moorside Legal.

Search the forum for Moorside claim form

Easily defended. No risk if it arrives, as long as you come back here & follow the steps.

  • Good evening all,

Got another one in the mail today, YAY!

I can’t decide whether they are serious or just trying their luck here. What do everyone think? Is there a court case coming or not?

A debt collectors letter. The clue is '14 days' - mentioned twice.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

On 6th November Trace wrote to you giving you fourteen days to pay.
On 27th November Trace wrote to you giving you fourteen days to pay.

Anyone going to predict when the next '14 days' letter will be sent?
My prediction is... in a letter dated Wednesday 18th December.

The landowner can still press the parking company to cancel the charges and discontinue any pre-legal action (i.e., before it reaches the county court).

The parking company always 'advise' the landowner to tell the victims that "get in touch with the parking company, they are willing to help." In reality parking companies never help. They said so to the landowner just to move the landowner out of the picture so they can proceed with their automatic procedures without any interference, until you force them to stop.

"Willing to help" is a well used script as part of their game.
  • Thanks guys for the support guys and the chuckle!

That’s exactly what the establishment said when I tried to appeal to them “get in touch with the parking co. Once it’s gone to the debt collector, we can’t do anything”. Bet they can! Won’t be going back there next season!
