Hello!
Ive received a parking fine from country wide parking, I didn’t reply to the first few letters nor sent any appeal as I was away. It’s now at the debt collectors phase( trace debt recovery).
I’ve went to the manager of the establishment and they “tried” to help, but said because it’s at the debt collector phase they can’t do anything about it.

I pointed out that in the letter it says “ our client is within their right to interrupt any time frame given by trace and initiate legal proceedings through their chose of solicitors at any point”. If they can escalate, surely they can deescalate it as well? (please correct me if I’m wrong)
the establishment’s reply to that was I should contact country wide parking.
the establishment’s reply to that was I should contact country wide parking.
Should I:
1. contact country wide parking saying that their client is “willing” to help but needs them to call off the debt collectors
2. Just wait to see if they will proceed with court.
3. hopefully the wise and experience from this group has a better idea❤️
your expert advice would be greatly appreciated 😀

Why not just pay the fine to the debt collectors and done with it?

My advice, ignore the above comment - not necessary to say
Plan A is always a good route - make sure you read through the Newbies thread and understand the process. Once the Parking company have handed over to their Debt collectors process - they really have washed their hands of it, but, if the establishment wants it's customers to return - and not put out the word that it's a place you get tickets, then they should really do everything in their power to help - it cannot hurt to press this point, especially if they truly value your business, but they do need to contact the PPC themselves.
Unlikely 1 will work, as I said they hold very little favour for their prey, 2 is a good option if you've got a good case - it really depends on the circumstances, can you give any more details?
Have you got a redacted copy of the PCN you can show?

Just ignore them. The parking industry isn't worth a minute of your time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You need to do your application this coming week, re your other thread. You MUST focus only on the application and NOT delay that.IzabelaSmith1999 said:Ok I trust you guys🙏PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
