As the newbies and 12 steps in the defence template sticky threads tells you , the Defendant EMAILS the N180 to both parties. There are no conflicting stories about this DQ stage
I would advise that the Defendant is present for the 3 minutes mediation call, but they can nominate a spokesperson, in this case you, to make no offers on their behalf

Yes but the forum does if you search or just Google DCB Legal email (DO NOT GOOGLE FOR DCBL WHICH IS A DIFFERENT COMPANY).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So my partner got a reminder text yesterday for her upcoming mediation appointment on Monday. She never saw the email they sent in January so have only just become aware. Would it be too late to fill in the delegation form now so I can take the call on her behalf? Also are there any negatives to delegating the call to someone else and do I have to be part of the claim? Do we need to explain our defence to the mediator or just tell them we don't accept the offer to pay?
Thanks0 -

You say "no offer" or a tenner if you want a laugh, as seen in several threads. Can work.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above, mediation isnt about the actual case or defence, its about agreeing a compromise figure , or not
I have probably read a few dozen feedback reports on the mediation stage in the 5 months since your wifes claim form arrived, I suggest that you read a dozen too
So £0 or £10 if you don't mind paying a very small amount
5 minute phone call2 -
So just to update, mediation call lasted around 5-10 minutes. She asked if we wanted to counter offer to which I said £10 and she didn't even go back with our counter offer she just said she's been told the lowest they will accept is £250, so said she'll mark the claim as unsettled.3

Hi everyone, just to update and close this thread, dcb sent their notice of discontinuance today, they did try a last ditch phone call on Monday to settle for £60 but we refused as we'd already had a letter off the court saying DCB hadn't provided the correct documents. Like everyone says how they get away with wasting the court and everyones time like this is crazy. Thanks to everyone for their invaluable help on the matter!3

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
But we can't yet count it on Umkomaas' thread of discontinuances. We need evidence because we share this with the Government.
Please show us redacted pictures of:
- the NoD attached to the letter or email
and
- the earlier letter from the court saying DCB hadn't provided the correct documents.
@Umkomaas and @Le_Kirk will both be on tenterhooks to see these two pieces of evidence!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
