I switched from a Chase account with three new DDs set up, only one had made a payment before my switch to Lloyds, the other two showed as "pending". I got the £200 from Lloyds.
If you used a newly created secondary account at Chase, can I ask if you inputted your debit card number, or left it blank, when switching ?

Yes it was a fairly new secondary Chase account. I put my card number in when switching. After the switch the Chase card still works with my "main" Chase account.

Doss anybody know, can you open an account then instigate the switch later? My wife need a debit card from virgin money before she can do the switch (seems a debit card is required to switch) but we want to open  the account now because we want it before Lloyd's reduce the regular saver interest rate or pull the offer.

I thought I would see if I could get the £200 by switching etc. Card received account all up and running quickly as the PIN is available in the app. Evening before my switch I received a text stating the switch would take place tomorrow and that as I had had a bonus since April 2020 “you’re not eligible for our £200 offer”.

So I know I had a switch bonus in 2019 and must have had another since cough cough.

Oh well a switch account with three direct debits to go and a free switch for Lloyds. Hopefully they won’t stick at April 2020 and may be eligible if they have a switch offer in 2025 or 2026 or 2027.

Yes you don't have to switch during the account opening process with Lloyds, I believe the only requisite is that you switch before the offer date which was sometime in December, however, given that it is very close you could be cutting it very fine!
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

  • My £200 switch offer was paid in to my Lloyds Club account prior to the switch officially completing so all good and so far quite happy with App/Reg Saver etc.

I used the 50p Direct Debit website to satisfy the 3 x DD's required and have now subsequently cancelled them.

    Hi,

I'm very interested in this switch offer but I already have a Lloyds savings account on the app from when I was with them previously (2019).

Will Lloyds use this account for my switch or do I need to sign up for a new one?

    Thanks.

The offer requires you to switch a non-Lloyds current account into a new or existing Club Lloyds current account - savings accounts are irrelevant here. You will need to open an appropriate current account if you don't already have one. The full offer terms are linked at the start of this thread.

As long as the switch is started before the 10th I’m sure you will still get the bonus, so you’ve got 2/3 weeks yet.

Are you not gonna make another move for some more bonuses or are you happy with lloyd’s, I’m thinking about natwest next as I’m still in the process of doing nationwide and then gonna switch to lloyd’s, but I quite like the app with lloyd’s very similar to halifax which I use as my main account so that’s probably why I like it so much, so I may stick with lloyd’s once I switch in.
